Good Album Posted by: from: on I think the main draw of this album is that one of the songs may have sampled "Deadly Medley" by Black Milk. Also, good album.

Another Excellent Roots Album Posted by: from: Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ on While the releases may keep getting shorter, i would say Roots records still get better in quality with each release. ...And Then You Shoot your cousin is another fantastic release by the group, even though there are many complaints about its 33 minute runtime. I actually think this is a plus to the album, as there are no week songs, so the short run time makes you want to listen to the entire album each time you put the record on as opposed to each song. Great production and interesting samples make this a very strange and unique record from a group that have yet to disappoint.

Good Album but last one was better Posted by: from: on I love the roots and this is a great addition to there library but this album compared to the last one doesn't hold a torch. Almost every song on Undun was great but this on had only a few songs that made me like the album. and there was way to much static noise on the album, it almost made me want to stop listing to it. all in all still a great can't wait for the next one

Miss the old roots Posted by: from: on Long story short, I think Hollywood has gone to their head and the Roots crew thinks that it's acceptable to put out garbage and charge people money for it. It's a shame because black thought is one of the best lyricist of all time. I threw my copy in the trash.

Only for real hip hop fans who understand Roots Posted by: from: Des Moines, IA on Great for the collection but not at full price. I'm a fan of the Roots but this album does not compare to prior albums. I listened 3 times and nothing made me say this is on point just average cd.

Roots stay true to Roots! Posted by: from: on This band pays respect to the predecessors of early hip hop as well as neo jazz! Love the fact that the whole album tells a story!

I was expecting more, not pleased Posted by: from: Minnesota on Not happy at all with this album. I was expecting a lot more and for this thing to be great. It was probably the worst Roots album ever. I would return it if I could.

Not quite what I hoped for Posted by: from: Tifton, GA on I'm familiar with The Roots with their being on Jimmy Fallon. I bought this CD to here what their music is like. I'm not into rap, so not what I'd purchase again.
