Classic Sabbath with a new energy Posted by: from: San Jose, CA on This is a terrific reentry album for Sabbath. The star of the album is Tony Iommi's "heavier than ever" riffs. The best song is Loner, with a great riff reminiscent of the Sabbath hit "N.I.B". Geezer Butler is still there, anchoring the bass duties like he never lost a step. Ozzy sings in his usual and distinctive style. However, Brad Wilk is brought in to replace Bill Ward. There were reports that Sabbath was not really happy with his chops, but he keeps up with Iommi and Butler. Many Sabbath purists will not like him over Ward and to me, his style is a little too light for Sabbath. Often bands looking to put out an album after a long absence tend to go for the commercial. Sabbath goes back to their roots with a vengeance and furry. I will be seeing them in September here in California and I know that I am in for two hours of ear shattering metal sludge. Buy this album...your won't be disappointed.

May very well be the end Posted by: from: Cape Coral, FL on As I'm typing this, Black Sabbath are on their final tour. Anyone expecting a follow-up to 13, sorry. Doesn't look like that's happening. If it is their last hoorah, it's a perfect album to end things with.

Black Sabbath still has it! Posted by: from: Mount Carroll, IL. on More times then not, when a band gets back together after a long separation, the music leaves alot to be desired. That is not the case with Black Sabbath. This CD is a masterpiece! There isn't one filler song on this CD. If you are a Black Sabbath fan and haven't bought this CD yet, do so.

Classic Black Sabbath Posted by: from: Monmouth, Oregon on Very good CD from Black Sabbath. Most times when bands put out music after such a long period, it is not very good. This is a heavy sounding CD.

Old school original Sabbath minus Bill Ward. Posted by: from: Davenport, Ia on Sounds like Sabbath from the 60's & 70's. Love it. I wish Bill Ward was involved. Ozzy's voice still incredible after all these years.
