SEGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Posted by: from: on The character creation customization is unique and great. You can customize any class and gender, as there is no gender limitations and the voices provide fun personalities to each you create. The art style for the characters are amazing and have a lot of depth and thought to it. I can never get tired of them. The prologue chapters let you create your very first team with up to three characters for the game simulation and yes, they're real people in your team when you recruit them into your team. They can be edited at any party management and the edits will be carried over to a new look and class, so it is limitless.

Good dungeon crawler RPG Posted by: from: on The main chunk of the game involves dungeon crawling and going through different worlds while battling monsters. The map is automatically revealed as you run along the paths, while the battle system is similar to Etrian Odyssey. Combat is fought with 3 main characters with up to 6 additional characters acting as support. Each character is custom, with options to choose different classes, appearances, colors, and voices (Japanese only, not English). Classes range from typical physical and magic users, to more unique ones like card summoners and hackers. The encounter rate is a little high for my liking, although you can buy an item that reduces it. Outside of battle, there is base building and the opportunity to get to know the NPCs better. The launch edition comes with a 28 page softcover book that contains art of the different classes as well as final and concept arts of enemies and locations. The book and game come in a box slightly bigger than the 3DS case.

Sick Soundtrack! Posted by: from: on I got the launch edition of this game and it comes with a 28 page art book which is nice. If you want to get into dungeon crawlers, this is a great starter game. There is a good amount of customization that includes voices, appearances, and classes. As you progress, you unlock new classes, skills, equipment, and squads (more party members). The story is simple, pretty much saving the world and stuff, but throughout your adventure, you get to listen to some amazing soundtrack. I never ever got bored of the music in this game. It is so good that I wish this came with a soundtrack CD instead of a art book. The combat is quite fun, once you unlock a 2nd squad, you get a buddy system that can support your main first squad in battle and the animations are pretty cool to watch. Overall, it is a very fun game and that is what matters most in the end. Also did I mention how good the soundtrack is?

Finally SEGA releases 7th Dragon Posted by: from: on You should know if you are looking at this game that it's a battle system focused type of game instead of a story driven series. Yep, another JRPG type turn based dungeon crawler. The music is good but as a dungeon crawler type game the levels could use a bit more work. It's easier to pick up than an Etrian Odyssey game though if you are worried about the difficulty. The game also has an issue similar to the Shin Megami Tensei game where it takes a long while to ramp up. As long as you know what type of game this is and are fine with it it's recommended. I kind of wish Sega released the earlier DS, and two PSP games of the series in the US, I never imported those so I have no comparison to see what has evolved and improved in the series.

Sega's rare gem Posted by: from: on Hello, Sega is a very well known publisher but since they exited the console market their games beyond the Dreamcast, PS2 and part of the PS3 era have not been very good at all due to them being rushed to the market. Unfortunately, Sega has put their Dreamcast days behind them. However, this game showed me Sega still has some Dreamcast era development magic left due to this game. The game isn't much to look at but it is a great rpg that should be in your collection along with Bravely Default and several others in the 3DS library (the game is a rare Sega gem because it's quality overcomes the visuals). I suggest rpg fans and 3DS collectors grab this because it might be rare in the future and it's a good game, especially if you're looking for another unique rpg. Best,

Your character can wear a Jet Set Radio shirt Posted by: from: on That alone makes it perfect in my eyes. The game has some high quality music, so play with headphones plz. This game is a turn based dungeon crawler with random encounters; the encounter rate, movement speed, battle speed is all at a good pace, and the difficulty is fair for the most part. A good amount of characters and classes to create, from a guy in a Jet Set Radio shirt with other JSR inspired attire, to an assault butler, to maybe even your next waifu <3. This game clocks in at 40 hours which to me amounts to a long adventure, but I know some of you out there like games lasting over 100 hours, so ymmv.

Fun game thus far! Posted by: from: Orange, CA on I've played about 4 hours into the game so far and I've really quite enjoyed myself. There are only a few options for characters to make at first, but the other appearances and classes unlock the further into the main story you play. Each class has a set of interesting combat and support skills, and with the SP system they have you can decide which skills to improve and which to leave be depending on your playing style. The battles are quite frequent, which can be annoying sometimes when you want to explore, but it also gives a good opportunity to level up and enter boss battles over leveled, so I let the light annoyance slide since it is a benefit. The story (from what little I've seen of the main story) seems a little cliché, but so far holds interest. If you've played the demo and want to carry the information over, you can literally start where that left off. Also, the music is actually really quite great. I really enjoy the soundtrack to every area and battle so far as well. All in all they have good elements and if the game continues as is for the duration of the story I feel like this will be a really good game!

7th Dragon Code 3 for 3DS Posted by: from: on This is a very fun game. (The only bummer is it wasn't in 3D-I'm a fan of the 3D). I would agree with the reviews that give the game an 8 of 10. It starts off slow but gets better. There are a lot of Dragon battles (hence the name.) Overall great game with excellent graphics and the environments look beautiful.

Fun classic RPG for modern times Posted by: from: on I played this game as a demo on the the 3ds and I had to purchase the real game. It is so fun and easy to play. Its not that hard or time consuming to play at all. I beat the game within 2 weeks of a busy schedule. I highly recommend this game. Worth the money spent, not lying.

Sega's 3DS Masterpiece Posted by: from: on I didn't expect to love this RPG as much as I did. Firstly, I played a translated version of the original on the DS, and while I did enjoy it a good amount, I didn't love it. Secondly, this game doesn't use the 3D effect, so while the graphics are 3D, the game is 2D. But the story, combat, and especially the combat, are top notch.
