This is a great basic pay-as-you-go phone

Posted by: from Rochester, MN on 04/25/2012If you're looking for a basic phone to get someone, or yourself, through a short visit without having to worry about contracts and you don't need a smart phone, then this is a viable option. Battery life is above average. The price of texting is rather expensive (.10/text), so call rather than text.

Great extra phone for the family

Posted by: from Atlanta GA on 04/04/2012Difficult to set up, but once you do it is an inexpensive extra phone that works great. We keep it in the sports bag for the younger kids and there are no worries if it gets lost, etc.

Great Basic Phone

Posted by: from Lowell, AR on 04/04/2012This phone was bought for my 8 yr old daughter. I know it's crazy to let an 8 yr old have their own phone, but it's my decision. The phone is very basic. I was able to have data opt out, that way my daughter isn't allowed onto the internet. It has loud ringtones and the listening quality is incredible. It took a little of getting used to for the texting because I personally haven't owned a flip phone in forever. It has a great battery life and very durable.

Everything you'd expect of a three-dollar phone!

Posted by: from Seattle, WA on 04/03/2012It's flimsy, the sound quality is poor, and the buttons are tiny -- except for one in the middle that gets me connected to the Internet accidentally when I don't want to be, incurring extra charges. Oh, and it doesn't seem to hold a charge for very long. Luckily, I just got it for backup, for when I don't want to carry my iPhone 4S. I wouldn't recommend it as a primary phone. My major beef isn't with the phone, but with Best Buy. After I activated the phone, AT&T said it hadn't been scanned properly by the retailer (Best Buy) and disabled it. I had to dig out the packing slip and fax it to them before they would turn the phone back on. After that experience, I'll probably never buy another phone from Best Buy.
