Fun, Upbeat and still alright

Posted by: from California on 10/13/2007This is one of the greatest cds of today. It amazes me how sweet her voice is, even if she is talking about an old woman getting hit over the head and being left for dead. Every song is unique and gets me tapping my toes, singing along and wanting to sit in the sun and smile. There hasn't been a day in the last two months that I haven't listened to at least one song from this album. The beats are amazing and the lyrics are playful yet thought provoking. She could take the worst tragedy and make it sound like a day at the park.

Posted by: from Winter Park, FL on 09/15/2007Talk about one of the thought proving, witty and fun albums that will be out this year. Her vocal range is exceptional and rhyming skills extraordinary. The album start to finish is a scorcher filled with abstract, odd, quirky and fun beats. “Smile” which opens the album is also destined to platinum single status. The ever so friendly voice is serene belting out some heart felt lyrics. The beat is a slow crawler but is purely genius as it compliments her voice ever so brilliantly. A truly witty and clever diss track more than likely directed to her ex comes along with “Not Big”. It’s on a fantastic beat and the chorus will be stuck in your head. Taking a lofty and playful beat we get the ever so hypnotic “Take What You Take”. The combination of beautiful singing on chorus with soft spoken rhymes on top of such a superb beat can only lead to a lot of smiling faces. This album is destined for success from a female across the pond, let your ears in on this soon to be household name.
