Better than advertised

Posted by: Prophet718 from New York on 06/16/2013The MacBook with retina display does not have a lot of bells and whistles like a touch screen and a whole lot of useless keyboard buttons or a DVD drive, but what you do get is unbelievable speed and power. Using software programs like photoshop is a sinch. Programs open and close with ease. No lag time during the creation process. The sound that comes out of the hidden speakers are wonderful. I'm not a big tech guy and I'm not usually the type of person to write product reviews but in switching from a pc to a Mac I strongly believe apple has earned it's reputation with this product. So don't be scared off by the price tag. The MacBook Pro with Retina display is well worth every dime.

My macpro works- really well! And even though I'm really careful about how I handle my laptop, I'm not so 'territorial' about it and will actually let other people touch it without worrying too much about messing it up. The bonus to my model is that my charger doesn't fit anyone elses so I don't have to find whoever borrowed it!

I have an iPhone and iPod so it made sense to get the laptop too and it was a great choice. FaceTime is awesome and the image resolution is perfect! Only "downfall" is it does not have the built in CD/DVD but that is the trade-off for the retina. For a little more money you can buy an attachment and use it when necessary. Great computer!

It's fast, the retina display is incredible, it's super easy to use, and of course gives you access to the App Store and iTunes. It's very light and portable too, which is convenient. Very happy with the purchase.
