When a friend bought a new Macbook (moving from the PC world to Apple), she was extremely pleased and highly recommended the Macbook. I compared prices and found Best Buy to beat all the competitors. I spoke with a knowledgeable sales person who was able to guide my decision to the Macbook Air. I have had this computer around 6 weeks now and my old laptop pales in comparison. This Macbook does far more than I ever dreamed possible, and I know I am just scratching the surface. I plan to add software and feel this laptop will meet my needs for years to come. Battery life has been great so far and the laptop is easy to navigate, especially since I am used to my iPhone.

Will change you over to a Mac User

Posted by: from Manchester, CT on 05/20/2013Since grammar school I've been a PC user day in and day out. Windows 95 and 98 ring a bell? But since the changing of the market in the 21st century I have decided to turn to Mac.
I'm very computer savvy and I enjoy a good PC for gaming time to time. However for the day to day processing, whether it is word processing, internet surfing, or videos; the Mac suits me well and executes these with precision.
I like the various gesture-based navigation that is implemented to help getting around the desktop easier. Also, I enjoy the attention to detail, as apple has meticulously placed a full size keyboard, and enlarged touch pad; helping people like myself with big hands, find use out of it.
The Battery life has been well above my expectations. I find myself needing to charge it 1-2 times a day. As a college student, it has made my studies more organized and easier because it boots up quickly; while being very light making it easy to carry with you.
The Drawbacks: The Aluminum casing that the laptop is housed in is a welcomed addition. However, like all metal cases, they are subjected to scratches from time to time. Another drawback is the speakers which are of good quality, however, at maximum volume they don't overpower background noise.

Bought This One for my son

I use mine at home. Either my wife or I have it on our lap as we watch TV and surf away. It is so light and completely self contained. The battery has a long life and if we need to charge it the magnetic power cord connector simply pulls out if we put a strain on it. It is so easy to carry it to another room if we want. We use it to Skype with our family across the country. My 3 year old granddaughter asks her mom if she can call grandma and see us on Skype.
