As a photographer, I want to back up photos on a sturdy DVD. I also like watching DVDs when traveling, but I don't necessarily want to upload them to my computer. This is great. The MacBook Pro is superior to any other laptop in my opinion. It would be nice if it was lighter and less expensive, but the overall specs are worth it.

and compromised by getting a smaller screen than I was used to.
I also opted not to pay for the retina display. I am not disappointed by either choice. The display is very bright and clear. My photos look wonderful. And the smaller screen makes it so light and portable.
Transitioning from lots of big files for work and photos was no sweat, and the learning curve has been minimal. As with other Apple products I have used, it is very intuitive and easy to learn.I really like the fact that it syncs with all my other Apple products like iPhone and iPad. And, I can face time with my friends who have apple products. I also love the touchpad. This is an excellent computer.

Great laptop - everyone needs a MAC!

It was very simple to set up. Ialso went to the Apple store and took a free class, which you can do even if you buy it at Best Buy within the first 30 days, and they showed me some great tricks. Run out and buy a Mac today!
