If your remote is failing to operate Apple TV, hold it close to the box and press the menu and rewind buttons. It will pair and you will be in good shape. Found this tip after days of frustration and thought I would pass it on!0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Why aren't all remotes this simple? The design is excellent - the manufacturing is superb. As with all Apple Products, the quality shines through. My husband literally wears out remotes.......this one survives even him - and should he kill it - replacement is so easy and cheap :)))0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Nice simple remote with only one caveat: This remote needs a dock to work with iOS devices like iPad/iPhone/iPod. It does not work alone with these devices as it seems to imply it does. It was only once I got it home and got into the fine print (after trying unsuccessfully to pair with my iPad) that you find out the universal dock is required. Too bad...i would have really liked to use just my iPad, my Jawbone Jambox and the remote together on the go.
I returned it, but ended up with another when I purchased my Apple TV. With that, it works rather well.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.
