I chose the iPad because all our other devices are Apple- computer, laptop and iPhone. I'm glad I did - it's nice to syc stuff between devices. Also, it was easy to use b/c I'm familiar with the apps. Nice size for reading, plenty big for playing games, yet still fits in my purse. Nice for traveling. I kind of wish it had a non-glare screen, but it's not that big of a deal.

    The mini is the perfect size
