Gift for my 90 year old father5

I bought this for my 90 year old father to read Newsweek and his email. It was near impossible for him to read Newsweek on his computer. He has been a reader for decades and missed Newsweek. It is so much easier for him to read his email on the iPad.
He didn't want the iPad, but once he has it he is very appreciative. He says it is easier to navigate than a computer.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Overall it's a solid tablet that is very easy for anyone to use as a primary way to stay connected. The user interface is as simple as it gets! This tablet is for people who are just simple users and don't care to be concern about customizing the UI or want Linux like control as do other android type tablets offer. Only small issue with the iPad that some people might find annoying is using itunes to manage the device. Also it would be nice in future models to offer a memory expansion slot and front facing speakers.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

I'm not really all that savvy with new technology so the iPad was a big step for me. It is easy to use and super fast. We just returned from vacation and the pictures were wonderful. I love the ease with which you can download apps.
I went with the retina screen because of the clearer picture. I'm glad I did.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Apple has done it again. My wife loved the new iPad 4 with retina display. She's on it all the time! It's great for business and even for recreational use. I will definitely refer this product to a friend. Thanks1 out of 1 found this review helpful.
