I chose to try an iPhone since the HTC phones I have had seemed to get slower and slower as the 2 year contract with Sprint went on. I was really surprised with the speed of the iphone and during my 14 days of able to return I wore it out. I was able to find SOME programs I have to have to survive on Apple Apps......but so many I was not. I also had to pay PREMIUM price for those easy written programs vs free or .99 on Android. I literally spent an hour on my last day IN Best Buy trying to decide if I was going to keep it. I chose to keep it as I have another phone as back-up and yet another that contract expires this year. I do not see all the hoop la about the iPhone. Android is so much ahead on apps, abilities of the phones, price point....... Apple cannot see the forest for the tree. They want security...they got it bt note I have never had a security issue on Android after years of different phones and starting with the original version and apps that were not approved. I am waiting to see what Apple does and if they decide to change their user format to a more user friendly (customizable) version, I might keep. If not, I will probably go back to Android at some point or Jailbreak if they get their program up to date. Wouldn't it be great if there was a phone that combined Apple and Android benefits.....!!

Great phone

Posted by: from Cedar Hill, TX on 05/20/2013Upgraded from my iPhone from 4s to the 5 and I couldn't be happier. The iPhone 5 is amazing! It's way faster than the 4/4s, it's much lighter, and it's got a great camera and display. Battery life also seems to be better. Only challenge for me so far has been trying to get used to the new length. Other than that, it's all good.

Better than expected!

Disappointing

Posted by: from Bend, Or on 05/14/2013I have always been a Mac user and a Sprint customer. I had waited years for Sprint to start selling the iPhone. My last phone was a Samsung Epic. After one week I have to say I am very disappointed with my iPhone 5. The sound often cuts out during calls for 30 seconds at a time with a definite click when I lose the sound. I live in a weak signal area so this had been a problem with older phones in years past. The main thing I hate about this phone is the grey on grey tiny font in the settings menus. You often have to use a 3 fingered tap to zoom on pages. (impossible to do with one hand) The font does not reformat to fit the screen after you zoom. Then you often have to use 3 fingers to drag the page horizontally and vertically to read it. WIth some pages you can use one finger but you still have to drag them side to side to read them. To me this is just unacceptable. I am on my way back into Bestbuy to exchange for Samsung S4. Again I must say that I am a Mac user so I was extra disappointed with the difficulty in using this phone.

Serious love/hate relationship

Facetime works only a little of the time, it imported all my "contacts from FaceBook and won't let me delete them, even though they're really not contacts or people I know. It won't play at all with Media Center on my PC, and importing cd's (instead of just downloading them from my PC) is a nightmare. It's very unintuitive to put music on, and all apple wants you to do is use them and nothing else and buy more and more apps from them. The camera is awesome - totally addicted to it. Takes great pictures which I can share to any number of places. And like I said earlier, it won't always connect to the net unless you make a call to wake it up. And the headphones that come with it suck. Get new ones.
