Great phone from a non sheep prospective

Posted by: from buffalo, ny on 05/19/2013I was a droid guy before. They got better physical specs and far more choices as far as models go. But the physical specs are misleading. The iOS operating system runs smoother so u get better performance for your specs (I won't get into to geeky details why but trust me its true). I develop apps and i've seen the difference 1st hand. You run an app on a droid with much faster processor and more memory but it's still slower then the iOS version. The screen looks great, The camera is amazing, and i love FaceTime calls with my wife. the built in speaker isn't great but thats the only thing i didn't care for. I highly recommend a jailbreak though as its what makes this phone truly awesome. I got complete customization over my phone, I even got a gameboy advance emulator and can play my favorite old gameboy games on my iPhone. I don't like cases so I get the protection plan from best buy, it gives me piece of mind incase I break it that i wont have to shell out $800 for a new one.

Love this iPhone, it's a big part of my daily life

I use a fitness app everyday with a heart rate monitor and the iPhone is great for this. Love this product. Its a mini computer web appliance in my hand. Recommend the Otter Box case too.

However, I have found that if I turn of Apps. that are running in the background when I'm not using them it makes for significantly more battery life. Especially if the App has anything to do with GPS. Turn it off when not in use.
