You can understand the price tag coz you know you are getting a product that you will be able to use for a long time. I have a macbook pro myself and planning to buy another one for work.

Great Computer for College students

This one is much thinner, there really is not a weight difference in my book bag with the macbook compared to my older, heavier white one. I think it is the perfect size! easy to type with the keyboard. Screen quality is fantastic. I gave my other one to my son. I bought this on sale for $938 which was actually cheaper than the student pricing on the Apple website by about $20.
If you are writing papers and using it for school, buy it! You dont need much more storage than this with the technology of the USB drives. Saves in the same format as Word, so there is no problems printing papers or e-mailing them to teachers.
Oh, and it is super fast for surfing the web, shopping, or your basic e-mail and Facebook.

Great laptop for a beginner

Great small laptop for Apple lovers

I wasn't wanting to spend a ton because I just started working but I also wanted to stick with an Apple product. This computer is perfect for my current needs. Easy to travel with because of small size.
