Although everything is going to the cloud, I still like having a DVD/CD player/burner in my laptop. As a photographer, I want to back up photos on a sturdy DVD. I also like watching DVDs when traveling, but I don't necessarily want to upload them to my computer. This is great. The MacBook Pro is superior to any other laptop in my opinion. It would be nice if it was lighter and less expensive, but the overall specs are worth it.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

I was hesitant to pay the extra cost to move from a PC laptop to a Mac,
and compromised by getting a smaller screen than I was used to.
I also opted not to pay for the retina display. I am not disappointed by either choice. The display is very bright and clear. My photos look wonderful. And the smaller screen makes it so light and portable.
Transitioning from lots of big files for work and photos was no sweat, and the learning curve has been minimal. As with other Apple products I have used, it is very intuitive and easy to learn.I really like the fact that it syncs with all my other Apple products like iPhone and iPad. And, I can face time with my friends who have apple products. I also love the touchpad. This is an excellent computer.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

I hoped Mac's price would have come down prior to buying one, but when my oversized, slow laptop starting having issues, I decided to finally get a Mac and it is definitely worth it. It was very simple to set up. Ialso went to the Apple store and took a free class, which you can do even if you buy it at Best Buy within the first 30 days, and they showed me some great tricks. I needed a new laptop for my work and personal use. The MacBook Pro fits the bill. I had a MacBook Pro before and liked it. This model has face time and I'm enjoying using that feature.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.
