Appliance Delivery

What Level of Delivery or Installation Will I Need?

Best Buy provides several options to meet your needs. Keep in mind that if you request delivery, your appliance will be delivered only; it will not be installed.

Whether you choose delivery or installation will depend on how much help you need with connection and/or installation of your new appliance. See details below. Delivery

Delivery can be ordered for $70 (this is a per-trip charge). This includes placement of the appliance in the area of your home you request, if accessible. We will also recycle the old appliance that is being replaced. Please disconnect and drain your old appliance prior to the team's arrival.

We will also:

  • Connect your freestanding appliance to existing services (excludes gas appliances in some areas).
  • Test product operation if it is at room temperature.
  • Level it, if required by the manufacturer.
  • Install any manufacturer-supplied safety hardware, such as anti-tip brackets.

PLEASE NOTE: For Fitness Equipment purchases, we are only able to provide delivery to the threshold of your residence. No unpacking or setup is included.

Installation

Installation can be ordered for an extra fee. This is the perfect solution for those that don't have the time or tools to install their new built-in appliance. Examples include dishwashers, cooktops and wall ovens. We will disconnect your old appliance and install your new one according to local codes and regulations. We do not include the parts or labor required to modify existing services, flooring, cabinetry, or your new appliance.

Whether you use our delivery or installation services, remember to:

  • Make sure an adult 18 years of age or older is present when Best Buy arrives.
  • Clear a path inside and outside the house and remove fragile items.

Do I Need to Supply Parts?

  • You may need to supply some items for appliance hookup, such as electrical cords, hoses, and gas flex lines.
  • Existing power cords cannot be reused.
  • Existing hoses cannot be reused.
  • Existing gas flex lines cannot be reused.
  • Other additional parts, such as gas flex lines and Dishwasher Installation Kits may also be required if you intend to purchase Installation through Best Buy. Basic parts, such as plumbing fittings, sealants, and fasteners, will be provided with your installation purchase. See Appliance Installation for additional details.

What Will Happen to My Old Appliance?

When you have your new major appliance(s) from Best Buy delivered to your home, we will recycle your old appliance(s) for free. This is done on a 1-1 basis. For example, if you are having a new refrigerator delivered, we will remove one refrigerator from your home and recycle it. Read more about Best Buy's recycling program, which helps to cut down on the amount of waste going into landfills.

What Does Appliance Delivery Include and How Do I Set It Up?

Best Buy's Delivery Service professionals will:

  • Deliver, unpack and place your new appliance where requested, if accessible. Note: For Fitness Equipment purchases, the packaged product will be delivered to the threshold of your residence only.
  • Connect basic appliances to electrical outlets or connect refrigerators to existing water lines.
  • Note: Best Buy delivery persons are generally not certified to install gas appliances or other appliances listed under appliances that typically require professional installation, above.

Appliance Delivery is scheduled online here at BestBuy.com at the time you order. Upon placing your order, a Delivery Scheduling window will pop up to assist you in scheduling.

Special Order Delivery: For Special Order Appliances, a delivery agent will contact you to schedule delivery and inform you of the given availability window.

How Do I Prepare for Appliance Delivery?

Upon receiving your order confirmation email:

  • Verify space for your new appliance: ____H x ____W x____D.
  • Verify desired fuel type (gas or electric).
  • Verify desired brand, model number, features and color.
  • Verify proper power supply, hookups and venting for your appliance.
  • Contact our Installation Services team toll-free at 1-800-624-4434 if you'd like to purchase a professional installation from Best Buy. See Appliance Installation for additional details.

One day prior to delivery:

  • Best Buy's Home Delivery Service will call you to confirm your delivery and provide a delivery time window.
  • After receiving your delivery call, please ensure that there is a clear path for delivery (free of ice, snow, toys, debris, etc.).
  • Ensure that an adult, 18 years of age or older, is present during delivery.

Terms and Conditions:

  • The shipping charges stated on your online order is your delivery fee.
  • Fees for any additional parts or services you purchase are payable to your installer at the time of installation.

Delivery Information Specific to Your Appliance:

Refrigerators:

Delivery Service:

  • Product placed where requested, if accessible.

Delivery and Connection Service:

  • If icemaker is purchased at the store, it will arrive installed in the refrigerator.
  • Door reversal included in requested at time of purchase.
  • Connect icemaker and water to an existing waterline.
  • Connection to existing water supply (waterline sold separately).
  • In-line water filter installed if purchased at Best Buy.
  • Shutoff valve must be present.
  • Includes recycling of old refrigerator and freezer.

Dishwasher

Delivery Service:

  • Product placed where requested, if accessible.

Freezer

Delivery Service:

  • Product placed where requested, if accessible.

Washer

Delivery and Connection Service:

  • Connect to an existing electrical outlet.
  • Connect to existing hot and cold waterlines and drain, only if new hoses are used.
  • Includes recycling of old washer.

Dryer

Delivery Service:

Product placed where requested, if accessible.

Delivery and Connection Service:

  • Gas line to existing dryer must be disconnected, with shutoff valve present and turned off prior to the delivery team's arrival.
  • Connections will only be made to a new gas flex line (purchased separately).
  • Connect dryer venting if it is new and metal.
  • Includes recycling of old dryer.

Microwave

Delivery Service:

Air Conditioner

  • Note: Because air conditioners are typically shipped via UPS or FedEx, our delivery service generally will not be available to assist you. If you decide to have your air conditioner professionally installed by Best Buy, our installer will unpack, position and install.

Fitness Equipment

Delivery Service:

  • Product delivered to threshold of residence only.
  • Note: Because fitness equipment is typically shipped via a third-party shipping agent, our delivery service generally will not be available to assist you.
