Synopsis

Synopsis
The year is 1765. As the events leading up to the American Revolution are starting to take place in the North, Spanish forces plan to take control of Louisiana, but there is one person standing in their way — Aveline, a deadly assassin with an arsenal of weapons and a mission to win freedom for her people and her land. As powerful and violent forces clash, Aveline will find herself everywhere from the crowded streets of New Orleans to the bayou to underwater lairs filled with lost Mayan treasures. Are you ready to fight for freedom?

Eliminate your enemies and secure freedom for your land and your fellow citizens in this new chapter in the Assassin's Creed saga. Play as Aveline, an assassin of mixed French and African heritage, on a deadly mission to ensure Spanish forces don't take control of Louisiana and the South. You must use your skills and instincts — and your deadly arsenal of weapons to hunt down and eliminate your enemies. Wield a machete, take aim with a poison-dart blowpipe, whip out dueling pistols and more as you strike fear into the hearts of those who dare stand in your way. Explore the richly detailed world and animation as you outmaneuver your foes with the Tree Navigation System that helps give you the upper position. Take advantage of the PS Vita's touch pads, motion sensor and built-in camera to execute slow-motion chain kills, pickpocket unsuspecting victims, pursue your enemies in a canoe and more. The Revolution is beginning — what part will you play?

Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation - PS Vita (13 out of 16)
A solid addition to the Assassin's Creed line

Posted by: from CA on 05/17/2013If you have a Vita, this title is probably a must have - not because it is so fantastic in and of itself, but simply because it is one of the top games for the platform. Liberation is a fun game but it can also be a bit tedious at times - it seems a bit forced to try to scale down to the handheld platform. In any event, it's still a fun game so I do recommend it.

Good game, could be better

Posted by: from on 04/22/2013I feel like it's a bit hard to really get out and explore in this game, unlike regular console AC games. But the story line game play is fun and keeps you engaged. Costumes are an interesting addition. I'd say buy.

Fun assassin's creed game on the go

Posted by: from St George, Ut on 02/10/2013Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation is one of the better PS Vita games. If you are a fan of the Assassin's Creed games you'll LOVE this game. I myself, have only played one game in the series so to me the story wasnt that great, but I guess it could be if you're a huge series fan. This Games Graphics are AWESOME! One of the best looking portable games ever, and the gameplay is pure Assassin's creed. Scale buildings, free run, assassinate, its all their. Too bad there isnt a player vs player multiplayer, but oh well, its a lengthy enough single player to keep you going for a while. Overall great game, in the PS Vitas top 5 as far as I'm concerned.

Awesome On-The-Go Open World Assassin's Creed

Posted by: from New Jersey on 01/25/2013This is an excellent game for the PS VITA and provides a solid gameplay open world experience. The controls are easy to handle and not cumbersome to get a hold of. I recommend this game for any VITA owner.

Slow going

Posted by: from on 01/21/2013I am a pretty devote fan of the AC franchise. I enjoyed every game from the first game to the newest game as far as the PS3 is concerned... Then Ubisoft released this hastily made spin off of the third game. I was very disappointed with the alternate personas: you can be the Assassin who is the most useful but is always in notoriety, the Slave who is weaker, and the Lady who can't climb or sprint. I hated the idea of disguises and the story is confusing if you look away for a moment. The game does keep the core mechanics of its counterpart on the PS3, but it doesn't outshine the boring storyline and annoying infiltration missions. I spent about 5 hours with this game then returned it. I never had the chance to try multiplayer though.

This is truly AC in the palm of your hands

Posted by: from on 01/19/2013Not sure why this game doesn't get higher ratings. This is truly AC in the palm of your hands. Great visuals, the amazing mechanics of AC and a great new character in Aveline. I would recommend this game to anyone who has a PS Vita. With over 10 hours of direct missions and countless side missions you really can't ask for more.
