This is what a video game should be.

Posted by: from TN on 09/25/2011This is my first time into this series, I did not play AC1. I decided to get AC2 since the story sounded interesting and everyone said 2 was way better than 1. The graphics are stunning. The cities are enormous. There are enough side missions to keep you occupied for a very long time. Or if you just want to explore the cities causing mayhem along the way, you can do that too. The storyline missions aren't just a run and gun type mission. They take planning. You can't just bust up into the place to assassinate your target and expect to survive long. This is definitely a must have game and I look forward to Revelations coming out soon.

Posted by: from New York,NY on 02/08/2011I have not purhcased this game yet but, Ih ave played it on my friend's PS3 and it was amazing. I mean the graphics were stunning as well as ezio doing moves such as jumping from building to building and killing guards. It is worth $30.00 and I think this game should be voted game of the year for 2009.

Posted by: from on 12/29/2010I'm glad they made a 2nd, and now a 3rd one. This is much better than the last one. It's a long game and definitely worth the money to buy.

Can't stop playing it!

Posted by: from Chicago, IL on 11/07/2010I just bought this game recently and I can't get away from it! I'm a huge fan of "open world" or "sandbox" style video games and this one, for me, stands close to the top!!! I love the story taking place in the late 1400's, it's a time period not usually depicted in video games and the graphic design and gameplay really give you a great and realistic feel of Italy in that time period. The storyline is excellent, great characters, beautifully written with emotional intensity. Of course combat variety really gives the game a powerful edge. And the abilty to free run and explore makes the game more accessable because you don't have to follow the story everytime you play, you can do side mission or explore the land... up to you!!! Overall, excellent game! 5 stars all the way!!! Can't wait for the next one coming soon!!! Highly recommended!

Fantastic Game

Posted by: from NJ on 10/04/2010The first Assassins Creed had amazing gameplay and a very interesting storyline, however it was very repetitive and the gameplay never really developed throughout the story. AC2 corrected this problem by changing the gameplay throughout the game, introducing the ability to purchase new weapons and armor, and incorporating a variety of side challenges that truly added to the game. This is by far one of the best games I have ever played.

Great Game

Posted by: from Eau Claire, WI on 09/06/2010Quality game. A little confusing at first as this is the first of this series that I have played. The cut-scenes are what bogs this game down, but are necessary for the storyline I suppose. Quality graphics. It is sometimes fun to just free-run around.

Excellent game!

Posted by: from MA on 09/02/2010This game is absolutely awesome. A terrific story, a MASSIVE free-roaming land, and great graphics. There's not much more you can ask for in a game. It's one of the few games I've picked up recently that I had to keep playing until I finished it. The puzzle aspects of the game are challenging but not frustrating. My only slight complaint is that the controls can sometimes be annoying (I found myself flying off a building a couple times by accident), but that doesn't deter me at all. Pick this game up!

AC2
5
Posted by: from IN on 07/22/2010I enjoyed AC so much i would just run around on the rooftops for hours i mean how fun is that parkour in rome! that is freaking sweet! This game is even better than the first there are a few flaws in the game but they arent even noticable for the average gamer. The story is compelling and original the missions are always fun and challenging, but the graphics and the gameplay are what makes the game top notch. Seriously the best part is running on rooftops. its not like prince of persia where the running/jumping mechanics are tediouos and annoying. THis game is just a lot of fun! and it takes a very long time to get old. You have to play it just to try it out, but buy the first one first it only takes about 7 hours to beat and then you can start on this one! And AC3 is going to be really cool with the onlie feature any gamer could appreciate! Check it out!

Very intense gaming!
5
Posted by: from New york on 07/10/2010Now when I say intense I mean the cut-scenes are. Any way this game is full of action packed adventure as you climb obstacles, jump from log to log to get to your target. Very exciting, and fun. Worth the money.

Great Sequel.

Posted by: from Saline, MI on 06/26/2010This is a great sequel to a good game. Assassins Creed I was a game with a great story and fun things to do..but it does get repetitive. Assassins Creed II is even better, with more to do, more to see, and more to learn about the Assassins Creed universe. There is Downloadable Content for this game also, which expands the games life (so to speak).

Never has there been a tale of so much woah...

Posted by: from Madison, WI on 04/05/2010This is a decent game for those who like Renaissance historical fiction, parkour mechanics, and/or wholly-disproportionate revenge-taking. Other folks, especially those who have not played the original Assassin's Creed may want to steer clear or wait for it to go on a huge sale, because you'll be helpless to understand what the devil is going on here, plot-wise. The game's best moments are spent negotiating clever environmental puzzles and sneaking stealthily around corridors to deftly fell bad guys; unfortunately there's surprisingly little of that sort of thing for a game about an agile assassin. There's much, much more just running around town offing people in broad daylight, like some kind of a 15th century Grand Theft Auto.

Continues to Exceed My Expectations
5
Posted by: from Chico, CA on 04/05/2010I was not a huge fan of the first Assassin's Creed. They got a lot of things right, but after a while it just seemed like the missions repeated themselves and before long it became kind of a chore to continue playing. So I got rid of it without ever finishing. This game is what Assassin's Creed SHOULD have been. As an independent game designer, I am consistently blown away by the care and attention that every aspect of this game has received. That's not to say that it doesn't have its faults- the opening scene, for example, is boring and unnecessary- but what it gets wrong is NOTHING compared to what it gets right. I wish all games had the polish that this one does. It's a true work of art, and I'd recommend it to anyone- whether you're a fan of the 3rd person sneak-around genre or not, this game is an awesome experience.

Best game I have ever played on the 360

Posted by: from Dartmouth,MA on 04/02/2010When I first bought this game I was a little unsure of it at first because allthough I liked the first one I was hoping that the second one would be better. Fourtunatly I got my wish. When I first started playing the game I was amazed at how sharp all of the grafics were, and I found myself getting lost in just the amazing scenary of Italy. I would definatly say that it is 10 times better than the first one.

The realest experience.

Posted by: from Capitol Heights, MD on 02/18/2010I like that it takes place exactly where it left off. Another feature that was a need was that this guy could climb and go anywhere, but couldn't swim which didn't make any sense. I'm glad they added that in this sequel. Visual graphics look is amazing and having it viewed in HD is even more brilliant. Ezio Assassins mansion is beautiful with the art you collect as you play the game. Every town look so real even to the drunk guys sitting in the alleyways drinking, to the people converting to on another, the couples arguing, or the ones you can catch giving directions. Another appreciation is how you (Ezio) is able to rebuild a town with his own money and thereafter is able to receive revenue.
