Small shelving unit4

Not going to go into great detail on this unit, but I own two of it. Purchased them about a year apart. No one can say a thing about the space of the unit. It states that it can hold up to 108 DVDs. That's completely accurate. I've got 27 on each of the 4 shelves. If I really wanted, I could cram a 28th.
These units are incredibly easy to assemble. Took me less than 10 minutes each. If you're not familiar with furniture construction, it might take 20-30 minutes. It might not be the sturdiest structure in the world, but it's also only $32. Pay the money for a solid wood unit if you're after elegance and high durability. My first one has worked fine for nearly 2 years.
Bought two of them and I'm likely to pick up a few more in the future if my collection keeps growing like it does. I've got 5 different media racks and it's my favorite so far.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

This is not a very good shelf. It is very flimsy. The side holes were drilled too big so the screws wouldn't tighten up. Also the dowel holes were too big as well. As others has stated it looks bigger on the box.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

I am very happy with this buy. It keeps all my DVD in order and also my games. I put it together and only took me like 35 min to set up so this item is very easy. If you are looking for something simple and easy to assemble look no further.5 out of 5 found this review helpful.

Be warned: the sides bow outwards.1

A couple years into use, the sides started bowing outwards, so the shelves are no longer usable. It was not misused or anything; the shelf holds nothing but video games discs in their cases. So be warned that it will become completely unusable after a bit of light use.8 out of 10 found this review helpful.

I was hoping to get something bigger. Other reviewers said this thing was flimsy, and that it was smaller than it looked. They are wrong, its not flimsy (well any flimsier than any other cheap Swedish shelf), but it's picture is extremely misleading. I guess they took that picture in a hobbit hole. seriously, its that small. I thought I was getting something that was as wide as a small coffee table, and as tall as my desk....well, my desk is taller. So just a warning, the picture is not proportional to its actual size. Other than that, it appears very well built (for MDF and Cardboard). For the $35 (after taxes), I think I'd been better off getting a Mainstays shelf from Wal-Mart5 out of 10 found this review helpful.

For only $30, it's no surprise it was made of fiberboard. They found a way to make it somewhat sturdy though. Once you fill it up with DVDs the flimsiness from when it's empty seems to disappear.4 out of 6 found this review helpful.
