Let me just say that the ability to add storage make this reader stand out above the rest. The picture is bright. The downloads are fast. The size is just right. With all the plus you get from B&N this choice should have been a no brainier.

Love my Nook HD

There are tons of games and apps and I can keep everything from Facebook to medical records to the weather forecast close at hand. I would recommend this tablet to anyone that reads. Awesome product!!!

The Nook fits my needs

Quite frankly I prefer a "real book" but I used the Nook on the plane both ways, and it was a lot easier to handle than a book. While in Florida iI used the e-mail function , did minimal web surfing and was able to order more books. I bought the crossword puzzle but gave up on it because of the keyboard. I have a small hand and thin fingers, I don't know how anyone with a larger hand could use the keyboard.

If you want a primary tablet that doubles as an e-reader, then look for a different device.
The Nook HD really does not do the internet well. Even on a fast internet connection, web pages are slow, and will at times even lock up for a few moments.
The app store is also very limited on apps, and not laid out very well.
On the plus side: battery life is very good, and it has an excellent screen for reading.
Overall, I would probably steer most people away from this device.

I dont know if its just the certain device i got or what, but using the web is superrr slow and freezes a lot. Getting basic games that i can get free on an iphone/android like temple run and stuff cost money; ranging from $0.99 - $3.99 . FOR A SIMPLE GAME! And if youre not that familiar Androids this device will be complicated to use for some time. I can only have one email account on it which i dont like. Some books are pretty cheap which i really like. i'm still torn whether or not to keep it because of the cheap books and more memory or to trade it in for a kindle. i'm really considering the kindle though.
