Posted by: from Dallas, TX on 05/10/2013I love this device. It's so easy to read, and it's so light. I use it in bed to read a bit before I go to sleep. Good stuff.

Posted by: from Franklinville NJ on 05/10/2013nice size - fits better than a book in my purse - for those waiting times. Did not like that I had to associate a credit card with it - even though I have a $25 gift card from Barnes and Noble!

Posted by: from va on 05/10/2013I have really enjoyed reading again with my eReader. Very easy to download books. Only problem I have is not being able to read with no lights on. There is no backlight (not that I have found yet) and so I am unable to read if the wife is trying to sleep. Otherwise, a great product.

Posted by: from Germantown, TN on 04/26/2013I love the Nook simple touch. It was a present for my mom's birthday and she loves it. It was bundled with a nice cover and she's truly happy with my gift as it's pretty simple to use

    Love, Love, Love this eReader!

Posted by: from Indianapolis,IN on 04/25/2013This is one of my most cherished possessions. I've had mine for well over a year now and I just love it! I used to be one of those people who swore to never own an ereader. I just love the actual, physical books too much to let them go! Then, I tried the Nook and I was hooked! It's so comfortable to hold. Perfectly sized. I love that you can use it one-handed and that you can swipe the screen to turn the pages or use the physical buttons located on each side. There's almost no screen glare at all. It's like reading a real book but better! I own over 700 and magazines and I can take them all with me everywhere on this beautiful, wonderful, little device! !It's extremely easy to use and I love that I can check out library book without setting foot in a library! In addition to expandable memory for your side-loaded books and files, Barnes and Noble also has a cloud for the books you get from them so you won't run out of room. Just archive when your done and unarchive when you want to read it again. The epub format means I'm not stuck with Barnes and Noble. Though I do love them, and their Free Friday Nook Books! I can use Kobo, Project Gutenberg, or anyone else that supports the epub format. This device has Wi-Fi to allow you access to Barnes and Noble store and to archive and un archive B&N materials. To get content from other sources, however, you must side load using a computer. Very easy to do. My only real gripe is while the Nook does have a search feature, I do wish the books in the Nook were alphabetized, as is proper, by the first word AFTER the "The" in the title rather than counting "THE". Makes it cumbersome to have to scroll through all of the titles beginning with the word "THE" Also, it would be nice to have a search feature when adding books to customized shelves rather than the endless scrolling I have to do with my 700+ books. The software is constantly improving. Perhaps this feature will be next. I've noticed, as my device grows older, the text tends to fade in and out at every great once in awhile.. I discovered this happens when leaving it turn on and on the same book page for an extended period of time - like days or weeks without usage. It doesn't seem to do this when it's left on the home screen. The Barnes and Noble CS were very helpful. I was instructed to reset my device which was no big deal. Just remove the memory card first. It worked great! Back to normal. Now when I see the print fade, which rarely happens, I just turn the Nook off for awhile and it's back to normal again. I love my Nook! I've tried using a Kindle and it just wasn't as comfortable to hold and the text and contrast wasn't as sharp as the Nook. I do believe the Nook is far superior! Love it! Wouldn't trade it, even for the one with the glow light which I think is a bit junky in comparison.

Posted by: from Chicago, IL on 01/26/2013I've had the original Nook and it was OK, but it wasn't great... I got a Nook Simple Touch and it lasted about a year before it just froze up for no reason. I had it replaced by a Factory Refurbished at the store and I've had no problems since. I must have read a couple hundred books since I got my first Nook and being able to carry them with me is just great. I like the file format support but I've found that you get far more layout adjustment options if you use epub and not pdf, but I've yet to have a book I haven't been able to convert to a better format. Being able to side load via MicroSDHC Mem Card is great. I used to keep my files internal, but after my first Touch died, I only side load... And keep a backup on disk. Charging doesn't take too long and I get months of reading out of a single charge and I read at least a half an hour a day, MINIMUM. The only thing I want is a good browser.

Posted by: from pittsburgh pa on 01/26/2013This is a nice reader if all you need is a reader. What I found lacking was the unavailablity of accessories in your Robinson store & the rude help that I dealt with there during the holidays. I wil be reluctant to go back due to this.
