Barton Hollow [CD]

Just as my previous review stated, I am not into Country music, yet I really appreciate great Folk, and Bluegrass. Civil Wars follows through with meshing genres, and it works great throughout the recordings. "Poison & Wine" is a song worth repeated plays. Buy their albums and you will not be disappointed.

This is the most awesome cd that I have bought in years. The music is so pure, the voices are heavenly, the words are touching , original and fresh. They cannot be put into one genre of music, they fit into all of them! John Paul White and Joy Williams who form this duo put on an amazing concert and are so kind and personable. Everyone should try to see them in person. You will NOT be disappointed with the purchase of this cd!

I found the civil wars on you-tube and fell in love with them from the first song. Joy and John Paul are truly talented. they are just as good (or even better) live as they are on the CD and that is rare these days. the music is timeless and you will listen to it for years and years! i rarely buy Cd's anymore but i knew this was one i had to own!
