Posted by: from los angeles, ca on 05/03/2013In a nutshell, Beats headphones are fashion accessories for teens. The long answer is this: I've worked in the audio industry for over 15 years and see these everywhere. It's amazing that in this day where consumers can shop online and review products before they buy them that Beats headphones are still selling. They are grossly overpriced, sound average compared to other long standing reputable headphone manufacturers and are poorly built. Try out the Audio Technica ATH-M50s, Sennheiser HD25-1 II or even the Sony Studio Pro v6 or 7506. All are less expensive, sound much better and will last much longer. You are paying for the logo. There are dozens of headphone options that are an overall better value, and sound better. You should avoid Beats, Bose or Skullcandy if you want the best sounding headphone for your money. This is helpful: http://audioproheadphone.blogspot.com/2012/08/headphone-popularity.html Beats are nothing but celebrity endorsed marketing hyped consumer grade headphones and aren't worth 1/3 of the retail price. When you see professional musicians or radio DJs, many use the Sony Studio Pros mentioned above. You can get them new for around $80.

Posted by: from Miami on 04/20/2013Like the headphones. Great for shorter gigs. small compact package. Nice carrying case. Love the adjustable cord to either side headphone. Wish it had memory phone like Pioneer's 2000. Have not had it long enough to speak to its durability however I've done about 20 or more gigs with it and so far so good. Planning to go back to my Pioneer 2000 and keep these as back up.

    Great headphones

Posted by: from Brooklyn, NY on 04/19/2013I bought these because another brand I had broke and was sold out. I wanted to try headphones that I can remove/change the wire. These headphones has great quality, when I'm on the train it's just me and my music. Fresh out the box they are a little tight on the head but will loosen in time and if you have long hair it can get stuck other than that I love my Beats.

    a great sounding, sturdy headphone

Posted by: from Sayville on 04/13/2013I reviewed several headphone before I selected the beats mixer. The headphones sounded the best out of all of them and my favorite thing is that they are not only quite sturdy compared to other models which I found which were quite flimsy, but they also fold down to a compact size to fit into my travel bag.

Posted by: from San Diego, CA on 04/01/2013The headphones are cool and stylish with great sound but if you wear them, after awhile they start to irritate your ears. My advice would be to hold out for the Pros. Only a $50 bucks more and worth it.

Posted by: from South brunswick on 03/29/2013So far the best headphones I had in a long while. I say these are light pumping sound. And the color is very nice . I feel the band could had been a little stronger. But all I love it's that it's really light and easy to carry around. Cable is long so it's good to have better reach when your out and about.
