I would say over all i am satisfied with this product, even though it does crackle a bit and the bluetooth connection is weak on my IPhone but i think the reasoning for the crackling is because of how weak the bluetooth connection is.. most reviewers have said that ever since the IOS on there iphone updated to 6.0 there beats pill would either cut the connection or start crackling so i think its just the problem with the ios so im not going to rate it on what could be a problem with the Iphone... the Bass on this product is defiantly good for its size and with how loud it can go the range is great if your going to be farther away from it... Over all i can say this is a really good product and once apple gets the bluetooth connection on there ios fixed this product can work more efficiently. so over all i rate it a 4 out of 51 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Loved this Pill until I started to realize I was having to reconnect it more and more frequently. Eventually every few minutes. Google it and you will see that there is a technical problem with this product. I called the company. To be honest, they did not sound very professional. They said I could "send it in" for a firmware update, but provided no details, as to how I should do it. When calling the 800 num, I always got the same person. Anyway I took it back to Best Buy. They were great. They gave me another one right away...but it had the same problem with not connecting and the charging port in the back would not turn green when the battery was fully charged. Yet if you touched it, I flickered green...something loose. Like another reviewer here, I really wanted to like and keep this product. When it worked it was awesome, and if you have a non-iOs phone then go for it...but if you have an iPhone I would save your receipt and make sure it works. So I took back the second pill. I was ready to get a JawBone, but saw a review saying that sitting on a smooth surface it rattled and moved around when bass kicks in. Also read that it did not have the volume expected. But I have never tried one. What I ended up with is the Jabra Solemate. Very pleased. Stays connected, and automatically reconnects when I turn it back on if my iPhone bluetooth is still running. Great sound. Loud if you want it. Has as many speakers as the Pill, but one is a bass bar in the back. I liked the crispness of the Pill and missed that on the Soulmate, but solved it by making sure my music player could adjust EQ (iTunes, gMusic). BOTTOM LINE: Be wary with this product if you have an iPhone...since I do have one, I cannot recommend the Pill. See my review of the Jabra Solemate for more details there. Let my pain be your gain.5 out of 5 found this review helpful.

Just picked up this Pill...I was determined to get it because I have other Beats products that I like...This Lil Pill was everything and more than I expected..Well put together...Portable easy to connect to my tablet and droid phone...comes with a nice carrying case for travel..the sound is excellent.. its loud and clear everyone sayin it has no bass..I play Hiphop and bass sounds OK on the little speakers ....my advice charge it up first before you play music full blast... you are going to hear a lil crackle..but that's because its not fully charged..I charged and this pill fills the room with crisp clean sound... The sound quality is poor!! After listening to a few crackling songs we decided to return it. A great disappointment as we love the Beats headphones. Don't expect anything great ...3 out of 4 found this review helpful.

I work for best buy as a store manager. The only negative feedback I have seen on this device is the problem of "crackling" speakers right out of the box. I discovered this is simply due to the fact that the battery does not hold enough charge out of the box to power the incredibly great sounding device. Consider car sub-woofers with an amplifier not powerful enough to run them correctly. Charge it up for a bit and it will sound great!! I promise. I just bought it for myself and my family and it fills the whole house with crystal clear sound!9 out of 12 found this review helpful.

Loud and clear sound in small, portable unit4

Ive only had it 3 days now and I guess the other posters above me got faulty units, Ive had none of the troubles theyve had with this product. Its everything its advertised to be! Its super small and light and easily portable with a nice protective case. Battery life is just about the longest in the class of small BT speakers. Extremely loud and clear for its size! I was in the market for a small, portable bluetooth speaker and listened to the Jambox, Big Jambox, JBL Flip, The solemate, and even the Logitech UE. I ended up narrowing it down to the JBL flip and the Beats Pill. The Pill was a little louder and clearer (to me anyway) than the JBL and seems to be made just a bit better (more solid) with a longer battery life, but its also $100 more than the JBL Flip. You will hear alot of people tell you "theres no bass" and while they are correct, relax, its normal. If you are looking at something this small and portable, they are all gonna be bass lacking. Nothing in this class of products is going to be able to produce decent bass response because of the size of their speakers (1", 2" or even 3") So, if youre looking for heavy bass response you might as well forget about a small, portable, bluetooth speaker and get a sound dock. Hope this review helps anybody comsidering this product or one like it. and as always, if you end up not liking it, you can always bring it back. I do recommmend that you listen to all options available and decide for yourself. Everybody's ears are different.27 out of 28 found this review helpful.

I was buying this as something portable to take with me anywhere I wanted to go. I was thrilled about its size and that I could tap my phone on it connect (or so it says). I was unable to use the NFC to connect using my Galaxy S3 and with bluetooth there was a faint popping at all levels enough to make it unenjoyable to use. Will be returning it tomorrow.25 out of 54 found this review helpful.

Big sound, small package4

This tiny little speaker packs a big sound. I have a 2000 square foot house and turned up all the way theres no room in the house you can't hear this thing clearly. The bluetooth works great but only to about 20 uninteputed feet. If you looking for the classic Beats bass you wont find it here, but the overall built is fantastic. Its got a good heavy solid feel to it while being small and compact. And how can you not love the red & black Beats usb cable, its just so sexy.43 out of 51 found this review helpful.
