08/18/2012Got this to use on the road with my laptop. The quality, even in the podcast mode, is way better than the little built-in that comes with the macbook pro. It is easy to use. The hardest thing about it is how to fit all the wire into the tiny carrying case that comes with it but it does fit if you put it just right. One of the best things is the size and weight which is almost nothing.
It comes out on the loosing end of any comparison test with either of my thousand dollar mics going through my high quality a to d converters but it is fine for a demo or podcast.

08/09/2012I just got this microphone in the mail today and couldn't wait to try it on Skype. After configuring the tiki to be the default recording device, I tried using it with Skype's sound test service. To my great surprise, I could barely hear myself with my speakers turned all the way up, and the sound being recorded sounded robotic and would randomly fluctuate in volume. The mic was only about 8 inches away from my mouth, but still it would barely record anything! The light would change between orange and blue when I spoke so I knew that was functioning, but unfortunately the recording quality was awful. The purple setting sounded exactly as bad as the blue if not slightly worse. The videos on blue microphone's website were completely misleading and I am extremely disappointed in this product. Hoping to return it ASAP.
