Was a gift for my daughter in college. Thought she could use tap water with this & save on buying bottled water. The charcoal filter started coming out in the water so now she doesn't use it.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

I like the different colors to identify the bottles around the house. Great for kids so they do not use plastic disposable bottle and leave everywhere only half full. This product was easy to use and is just the right size to fit in cup holder in car. I use it all the time!0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

I like that I can take this with me to places that don't have filtered water. It's great for work & also at home to keep in the fridge when I need to grab a quick drink.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Great Concept; Needs Better Design4

I bought several of these as side gifts for all of my nieces and nephews for Christmas. Luckily I also included cash-receipts if they wanted to return them. I also got one for my daughter. My youngest daughter took it and put juice in when I wasn't around. I had no idea if the filter was damaged in any way. Need that info with the product.
Good:
1. This has reduced the amount of bottled water we were buying (in particular for my daughter who has a habit of starting a bottle and then leaving it for a few days to give whatever has gotten into it when drinking to grow and get fuzzy--it always ended up being poured out), saving us money and lowering our amount of recyclables (assuming that the bottles were actually recyclable, as many plastics aren't).
2. It is easy to clean with the wide mouth at the top.
3. The size is perfect, not too small, not too big.
4. Good choice of filter colors for male/female; changeable when you're tired of the color you have without having to buy a whole new bottle.
5. The shape is perfect to easily hold in your hand and the plastic is hard enough to not have to worry about breaking easily.
6. The plastic is recyclable when it is time to throw it out.
Bad:
1. The spout is very hard to pull out; with the way it's designed, your fingers tend to slide right up and off the spout unless you have clean fingers (no grease/lotion at all) and have a very strong grip. Probably too hard for kids under tween age.
2. There is nothing to help remind you of when to replace the filter (and since I figure that a large number of teens would use this, something obvious/easy to see is required). Maybe something as simple as including in the instructions: "Immediately put a filter replacement reminder in your electronic or paper calendar!!!" or something more complicated such as some kind of removable, waterproof, writable sticker for the bottle itself with each new filter.
3. Plain and simple: It is hard to suck the water out. You just do not get as much out as quickly as with a free-flowing bottle. The water is being filtered so it has to go through that process before coming out. (this may not belong under "bad" since it's logical--I wonder if there is a way to filter the water as you're filling up the bottle rather than when you are ready to drink it?)
Information that doesn't make it bad or good, just logical things you need to do if you want to use it:
1. You need to clean it out often and let it dry completely every few days (don't just keep filling it up thinking that the filter allows you to not have to ever clean the bottle properly).
2. Wash the filter WELL before using it unless you don't mind the grit you will swallow the first few days of use.
3. Make sure you keep track of how long you've used the filter and have a back-up ready.
Bottom line is that my daughter uses it all of the time and has quickly learned to work around the spout problem and doesn't seem to mind having less water come out with more work. I, however, will have to remind her when to wash the bottle and change the filter--but what else is new? :-) It's worth it for what we are saving.6 out of 6 found this review helpful.

Hard to drink out of, strong carbon taste2

I tried to use this water bottle for one day and couldnt get it to function like I think it should. It's very hard to drink out of, you either have to suck the water out really hard or squeeze the bottle so hard you think you're going to break it. Also, I had to rinse/clean it out over 5 times to get the particle dust and carbon taste most of the way out.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

I bought two of these on a whim because my husband works in an office and wanted a better water bottle. These are great!! Just make sure you rinse the carbon well as you will get little bits of it in the water for the first few times.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.
