Posted by: John5257 from Houston, Tx on 06/16/2013The first time I saw this unit, I thought...nobody is going o spend $1500 for a sound bar system. That's WAY overpriced. I actually went to a competitor store, where they had it setup in a small movie theatre room, and it BLEW ME AWAY! I watched 30 minutes of Avatar and was convinced that the sound was coming from other speakers in the room. I had the sales guy give me a demonstration of the directional sound bar...it pin points the location of the sound anywhere in the room like a laser. I could hear sound all around me. You would have to spend $1500, if not more to accomplish this...plus run wires all over the room. I could stand 50 feet away from the unit and still have to yell to talk to the guy next to me.
The only downside is that the wireless router in my home interfered with the wireless sub, so it would lose connection. I contacted Bose and they sent me a cord that I could connect the sound bar and sub directly. They gave me some nonsense about changing the channel on my router to see if it helps, but i have no idea how to do that. It works perfectly now, with the cord, but I do lose the freedom to place the sub at other locations without a wire. I put mine next to the bar, so it's not a problem for me. Also, it doesn't come with the $50 wall attachment bar. For $1500, they should include it.

Save your money, Bose quality missing

Beautiful sound, easy set-up, optical connection failed on two seperate units within days of installation. Both returned to Best Buy and received refund. Now it's back to the old system and all the wires.
Works well using audio cables but that's not why you pay $1500 for this system.

Great Sound Quality

We love the base speaker and the ability to be able to understand the actors dialog even when the music is louder. Price seemed too high as it was little more than I wanted to spend. I am not regretting that I purchased it.

Wish the bass was more seller time but overall happy with this product. And it's Bose so you know you really can't go wrong on quality here. Great and you should buy it
