Save Money in the Long Run
    5
Posted by: from Portland, OR on 01/22/2013I have been looking at Bose for years (approx. 15-20). I always walked away because of the price. I always said, "Someday I might just do that if.... " I have read reviews about room size, quality, spending to much money, you can get better doing it yourself, it does not sound the same as in the store. Well I am here to tell you, all I ever heard or thought that was negative was truly incorrect. I have a 15x20 family room and have never heard the sound detail in watching movies, TV, or even listening to music. It also corrects the video on the TV and has a Great Universal Remote included. After years of waiting, I could not be happier, and I really wish I did it sooner. I have spent a few thousand trying to do the component thing. I don't consider myself a professional Entertainment person, but I can say I have been around the block with equipment. My family room sounds better than a theater now thanks to Bose. My wife was watching Nemo with the kids and she thought we had a leak in the wall because she was hearing sound from the rear speakers and it was so realistic. If you have the money, don't be afraid to spend your money here. This is honestly my first review ever, and it is all because I have to tell people it was worth it. This is not a kids system, it is easy to put together. So, if you want something that will take hours to assemble, does not sound good and you feel like you just lost money, stay away from this system. When you open the box, they actually put a thank you letter at the top of the box, explaining there pride in construction and your satisfaction guarantee, they are 5 start from the beginning.

    A great home theater system
    5
Posted by: from Poulsbo, WA on 12/15/2012My wife and I have recently purchased the Bose V25 Home Theater system and are really pleased with it. I want to say that the Geek Squad crew that installed the system was extremely meticulous in the installation and it looks as good as it sounds. The purchase was a little awkward but that seems more to do with the Best Buy purchase software than the person operating it. We also had some confusion in getting the Geek Squad installation appointment setup. At one point I had a national Best Buy contact and a local contact setting up 2 different dates. I do want to say that we are extremely please with the end result and we are glad that we had it professionally installed.

    Not Pefect Yet?!

Posted by: from Austin on 09/28/2012Everything is great and super with digital sound while not so good for analog sound. There will be a obvious hum or buzz even at 50% volume if analog sound is connected to channel 4 or 5 with red and white cable. I have tried with PC, TV analog output, two Karaoke systems with different mixers. All have same problem. However, there is no such issue for TV analog input. I have talked to Bose service, was told to ship system back for checkup. Surprisingly I was also told that they cannot guarantee to eliminate this annoying noise, a not-happy experience. It seems to me that this is a long lasting issue for Bose. I have other low-end (other than Bose) sound systems which do not have this issue. This system was bought end of last year. Initially I thought it was due to my Karaoke systems. I did a thorough check recently and confirmed that problem is mainly associated with Bose system. The noise can be reduced by adding a grounding measurement. I give up shipping back system partly because my system was checked by Bose recently (passed their quality control) due to HDMI-to-TV not working, partly because not-guaranteed service, and partly because I know what I can do. I am also using other Bose products, they are just super. I still like and would recommend Bose products.

Awesome! Theater in your own home

Posted by: from Springdale, Arkansas on 06/22/2012This Lifestyle V25 is everything I have wanted. I used to go into Best Buy all the time and listen in awe to it. Now I can do that in my own house. The set up is remarkably easy. The boxes are numbered by order of the set up process. Once everything is together, the instructional setup on the system walks you through how to connect all of your devices. I also bought the Bose rear speaker mounts for the ceiling and it just tops everything off. The iPod connection and AM/FM tuner are all great to have as well. Other than the price, I have nothing negative to say about this system. HIghly recommended.

    To me, Its GREAT

Posted by: from Muskegon on 04/27/2012This is my 3rd surround system I have bought. I was not a Bose lover/hater before I bought this system. My brother-in-law got some Bose speakers for his home theater system (I think 901) and I was impressed with the sound he had so I thought I'd give Bose a try. Price- This was the only thing that has been holding me back for a few months. I probably spent about $700 on my 2 previous systems so dropping 2.5x that amount on 1 system... needless to say I was hesitant especially after reading all the Bose bashers posts. I seen a good deal came along, so I snagged this system. Setup- Pretty quick and easy, depending on how many things you hook up to it. Everything is clearly labled and I'm not very TECHY and it took me about an hour and a half to setup completely. I have the rear speakers mounted up on the wall with the "wireless" adapter for the rear speakers. So setup was fairly quick and VERY easy. Quality- Very impressed. The iPod dock was very heavy, not made of cheap lightweight material like my other 2 systems had. The speakers are VERY heavy, about TWICE as heavy as my previous Sony and Samsung home theater speakers. The cables are thick and overall I was VERY impressed with the quality feel of these pieces. The LCD remote is quite something. I mean it takes a little while to get used to, but once you get the hang of it its quite amazing. All you have to do to sync it to your xbox, blu ray player etc. is to just point it at the Bose control box along with blu ray player remote, you press a few buttons and BAM the Bose remote is synced to use it. Sound- Far and away superior to any of my previous Home Theater Systems. I was always annoyed when I had to turn the volume up and down during movies during dialog parts and action scenes. Thats very annoying but with this system I have not done it at all. I usually play my blu rays at about 55 and you can go up to 100 on the volume setting. When I play my iPod it literally BOOMS. I am fine with the bass, and this system when cranked to about 75 shakes my walls! Overall I am very impressed with the ease of setup, the Bose remote is amazing, and the sound is amazing. I am sure you could buy bits and pieces and have great sound too for less cost, but if you are like me and do not know a whole lot about electronics, and are looking for the WHOLE SHABANG in one box, I would recommend this product. The price is costly, but in my opinion its worth it. I haven't had a problem with it, but I've heard Bose Customer Service is top notch. The only thing negative is the price. All the accessories are REALLY expensive and aftermarket products lack the quality of Bose's accessories. I got the Bose speaker stands because the aftermarket ones are very light and unstable.

Posted by: from Foster City, CA on 03/26/2012I can't recommend this high enough. Sure it's a little expensive, but it is worth every penny for those wanting a premium sound system for their house. I am using mine with my 3D Samsung HDTV and all HDMI.

    Great sound and performance

Posted by: from Las Vegas, NV on 03/01/2012It has great sound and performance. A little hard to get used to all the features offered in the control module. Easy set up and calibration. Certainly cuts down on the clutter of all the other components needed for the same performance.
