Posted by: from Minneapolis, MN on 04/05/2013This is the best pair of noise cancelling headphones I've had (this is the third pair, first from Bose). Noise reduction and sound quality are exceptional. Very comfortable. Nice compact case fits in carry on very easily.

Posted by: from Boulder, CO on 04/05/2013This over-the-ear model attains much greater noise reduction and comfort than on-the-ear or ear bud models.Very good for long distance airline travel.

Posted by: from Mexico on 04/05/2013If you are getting on in age and your music just does not sound as good as it used to, or better yet, if you have a mother or father somewhat hard of hearing but who likes their music, this is a quality of life gift. First they kill the background noise and then on that silence they impose your music. WOW. I am hearing things in the background of the music that I have not heard for years.

Posted by: from Salisbury,NC on 04/01/2013Have had these for only a few days now and really starting to like them. I am picky about music quality and have to admit was off to slow start first time I used them. Sounded ok and outside noise was isolated as was expected from these phones. Was using them in a 25 mph wind and still able to hear well. Play them through ASUS tablet and Incredible 2 phone. Listen to all music but rap and they sounded ok. Then installed PowerAmp (paid version) and now a totally new world. These phones could not sound better. Can tailor now for how I listen. Let me add that I have no connection with PowerAmp developers). After installing the app I my opinion is that these are great phones if willing to pay this much. I did alot of homework and store auditions and feel I made the right choice. Can not rate any higher till I see how durable they will be.

    Nothin but crisp, clean music

Posted by: from Fayetteville , Ar on 03/30/2013I use them at the gym mainly. Go cordless if you have the means, as the long cord gets in the way...a slight error in foresight on my part. While the noise cancellation is awesome, it gets a little warm in battle. And don't try to have a convo while wearing, cause it ain't happening, unless your good a lip reading. Other than that, ROCK ON!

Versatile, effective & comfortable ANR headset
    5
Posted by: from Tulsa, OK on 03/30/2013I used ANR headsets (not Bose) in my day job with great satisfaction. When I retired and noticed my hearing wasn't what it once was, I began a search for the perfect stereo headset for use at home. I wasted a lot of money lookting -- more than 3x the price of the Bose QC15. Then I took the plunge. I've never been happier with a product. I use the QC15s for listening to music mostly. But I've discovered that it makes it much easier for me to follow the rapid-fire witty banter on many TV programs. This headset is lightweight and places little pressure on the temples for proper noise cancelling results. The quality of music reproduction is amazing; and the quality seems uniform throughout my personal frequency range of hearing. This adds up to uninterupted comfort and enjoument even while watching a 3-hour DVD! A big plus is that its having an easily detachable cord makes it very easy to use it "wireless" as a hearing protector while running the vacuum or while doing other noisy indoor chores (I'd like to use it mowing, but I don't think Bose intended it to be used in a sweaty, dirty, rough-house environment). My professional experience as a pilot put me in the company of many colleagues who used Bose aviation headsets. To a person they all swore by them. It seems to me that the QC15 headsets share many of the quaities of the commercial units, so I expect that the QC15s will be similarly durable. Though I have not yet tried them as a passenger on an airliner, I have several friends who say they won't go without their Bose! Downside? Maybe the battery . It's a cinch that if you fail to turn the QC15s off when not in use then the battery will be quickly depleted. Though having been very careful to turn them off after every use, I seem to only be able to get about 15 hours of use from a battery. I'm using top-quality batteries that are fairly new. It may turn out that batteries from a different batch may last longer. Regardless, I believe that the QC15 headset from Bose would be worth it to me if I had to change the battery every day! I highly recommend the Bose QC15 headset to anyone looking for a lightweight, comfortable and great-sounding stereo headset. They will be getting a very effective hearing protector in the bargain!

Posted by: from Chittenden County VT on 03/29/2013Its rare a product delivers more than advertised, but this does it . It comes with a case that's well made and works with Apple products with out another wire purchase. Only thing that could be improved is if it was wireless
