This system is an awesome performer for both music and movies. The satellite speakers are clear in sound and the subwoofer provides awesome bass. Completely out performs all of the sound bars that are out there!1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Sounds amazing in my 12x17 living room.
I researched speakers for over a year, then found these at Best Buy. I read the reviews and was able to compare the sound to several Bose sets at the store. The sound was identical. Understanding a 20,000 square foot warehouse will sound different than in a living room, I was pleasantly surprised to hear the crisp, clean vocals and background sound of different films.
The difference was the price (several more hundred dollars for the Bose) and the Bose did not have a fiber optic audio cable included.
I went ahead and bought another set for my master bedroom since Boston Acoustics is running a promotion of $200 off.
They obviously put some thought into this product. The speakers quickly learned the code to my comcast remote and the bluetooth capability is a nice touch, allowing me to play music from my Iphone0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

When I went to the store, I automatically gravitated to the Bose Systems. I already have the Bose radio. Then I decided to compare the prices and sounds of other systems. I then saw the Boston Acoustics 2.1. I was blown away by the sound. I thought I was listening to a Bose. The price was about half of what the Bose was but the sound was comparable.
I put the system on my tv in the Master bedroom as we still have an old monster in the Den. So until we upgrade to a hi def tv in there I am trying it out in the bedroom. The room is rather small. Well it is a master suite(bedroom, walk in closet, study and huge bath. I have not been able to really turn up the volume to check the full potential of this system. But so far it is awesome. I highly recommend getting the warranty. It will pay for itself. I already used the warranty I had on a TV that went out and was able to upgrade to the TV I really wanted.
This is a great system to a small to med/large room. Such as a den/kitchen combo. Mid to large living room or den. Even in a basement it would be great. With the speakers the way they are you can set them in the window when you are outside and listen to your tv radio stations. I highly recommend this system over a bar or one of the systems that have all the speakers. This is a small footprint but has all the power behind it that you will need.
The only issue I have is that I have a DVR box on my tv and can not get the remote from the Boston Acoustics to pair with the remote from that box. I will have to call tech support at my service provider and get them to walk me through. Other than that absolutely no complaints at all. Highly recommend!!!!!!2 out of 2 found this review helpful.

we use this in ou 13x24 kitchen den combo. It's a great addition to our entertainment center. crystal clear sound and hook up to our phones to rock out with our music. The sound even carries the rest the house nicely very happy with the price point Best Buy match the price of home depot and we got this for 299 well worth that amount in still would have paid the regular price for Boston Acoustics crystal clear don't hesitate but now we're really enjoying ous.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

To be honest my Klipsch pro-media 2.1 sounds better then this. I should of taken it back when I had the chance but I like the bluetooth feature, digital optical output, and remote. I guess if the subwoofer was ported then it will rock. The reason why I bought it this is because I needed something for my room since my previous setup was moved to the living room and it was on sale. I watch movies a lot and love watching them in the comfort of my bed. I also listen to pandora and iheart radio all the time so the bluetooth feature was great to link to my Samsung Galaxy 3. Built in optical output was great and saves me from buying a convertor and less wiring mess. Speakers in general are sleek and nice. I still haven't gotten the chance to find stands to go with them.0 out of 3 found this review helpful.

I puchased this system to replace my sony DAV-X1. The sound from the Boston Accoustic system blows my Sony system out of the water. The Boston Accoustic system sounds much better than the Bose CineMate which I returned 24 hours after purchase. I highly recommend this system!4 out of 4 found this review helpful.

This system sounds like my 2 year old system in the living room that cost $5,000. Great sound for the price. This is one of the best 2.1 systems out here in America. At first I was kind of iffy on this because I saw the inside of the demo unit in the store and it looked like there was a little bit too much. I was going to go with a soundbar but decided I'd give this a shot. I hooked it up directly to my plasma and it sounds GREAT using an optical output. I highly recommend this over a soundbar.
The only thing that I don't like is the control unit. I wish it were actually imbedded into the subwoofer. But still, awesome sound for the price.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

This is a very good speaker system if you are not looking for 5.1. It works best if you keep the two speakers about 2 feet on either side of the TV for a deeper richer sound. I bought it to replace my 5.1 system that stopped working. Very similar to the Bose but at a cheaper price.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Great system for big sound in little places5

This thing blew me away. I've been looking for a nice soundbar for my flatscreen because my living room isn't big enough to justify a huge 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound system. I listened to them all and was just about to buy the Bose system when a sales associate showed me this system. I've been a fan of boston acoustics speakers for computers for years and they didn't let me down with this one. Set up is literally 5 minutes and the power and clarity blew me away. I love the bluetooth capability also!! The only thing I don't like is that the system "learns" your tv remote for volume adjust but it doesn't prevent your tv from going up and down also so it throws off the surround quality when the tv volume goes up with the system. Other than that I love this thing!!!!1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

I bought this system to integrate with our LG smart TV. The sound was nice upon installation; however, the subwoofer failed less than 12 hours later. Best Buy did replace the subwoofer and the replacement has performed well.1 out of 1 found this review helpful.
