I went in to purchase a Bose product and a sales person suggested that for the price of the Bose I should consider the Zeppelin. I couldn't believe that you could get such loud rich sound out of what looked like a football. I was instantly in love and didn't care how much it cost me.

There seems to be a lot of complaints about the set up, but the directions are very straightforward in my opinion. The hardest part of the set up would be entering one's WiFi password on the setup page (from my experience in setting up computers for people, they never seemed to know their own WiFi password).
The AirPlay works great, I have not experienced any issues with it skipping or glitching. Every now and then the Zeppelin needs to be power cycled for it to reconnect to the network (Like any other WiFi capable device). Once it is back on, the light blinks while it connects to the network, and when it turns solid purple the AirPlay button shows up on my phone. It is no different then connectivity issues you find with a laptop or any other device.
That aside, the sound dock is AMAZING. Each person has their own taste/expectations for sound quality. B&W provides exceptional quality sound in my opinion. I love how rich and full it is. The Bose sound docks sound "tinty" by comparison. I have the Bose Soundlink, which I will say is a great product for carrying around the house, picnics, BBQ's, travel, etc.
I spent over $5000 building my home theater system while I worked at Circuit City and Best Buy. Thus, I am extremely picky when it comes to audio quality. This sound dock is the best and most reasonable on the market in my opinion without spending ridiculous amounts of money (already did that on the HT system).1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

After reading several reports of people experiencing drop-outs and setup issues I was somewhat skeptical as to how well the Zeppelin would work out. Luckily I was pleasantly surprised. Setup was straightforward and the system works great controlled by my iPhone 4S via my Linksys E4200 ‘n’ wireless router. The Zeppelin is expensive but both the build and sound quality are superb; best in its class.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

We love the zeppelin, used with an iPhone and pandora, it like having a radio that plays the song you always want to hear.

For anyone who thinks anything Bose produces will compare stop right there. The bass and treble are stunning and the air play set up is so easy the 70 year old customers who don't know what wifi is could set it up. B&W just get sound plain and simple.2 out of 2 found this review helpful.

Perfect sound dock for my bedroom. Airplay was extremely easy to set up if you are careful about it (I chose the ethernet way). The airplay does skip sometimes but that is not the zeppelin's fault, it is the router's and apple's fault. Get's extremely loud without distortion. Bass is extremely powerful. Looks classy and beautiful. Definitely worth the money but I got it on sale for $430 so it is worth even more! I just wish my iPhone 5 could connect to it without the adapter because it takes away from its beauty.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

Zeppelin produces amazing sound. It's so cool to play out of your iPhone. I struggled for four hours to get the airplay to work. It worked in the end and I'm happy. For future customers, read the following carefully and you'll save many hours in setting it up.
1. The box comes with an instruction of how to set up airplay using the ethernet cable (included). THIS DOES NOT WORK!! Don't waste your time.
2. Download the newest firmware and update. This requires a USB cable and takes about five minutes.
3. Install the airplay setup application software on your computer. You should use a desktop or laptop that is connected to the same WIRELESS network. DO NOT USE A DESKTOP with a LAN connection. Running the setup app on an iPhone was tricky and didn't work for me.
After the many hours of agony, it is finally working smoothly and I am happy. However, B&W should update the information clearly on their website.5 out of 5 found this review helpful.

I just got my Zeppelin Air yesterday and I absolutley love it. Beside the very cool unconventional look of it, it also sounds great! I'm a huge 80's rock fan and even the stuff I have on my Ipod that hasn't been remastered sounds great.I really like the depth of the Bass and you can almost see the Music while its playing. Alot of the reviews have mentioned difficulty setting up the air play I cannot comment on that, right now I'm in Afghanistan and I can't use my internet service to set up my network so that will have to wait til I get home. It is a bit pricy but if you really love good sounding music than it's all worth it. I have several systems I plug my Ipods into but this blows them all away. Even the remote is cool, it's a little basic and the size might make it easy to lose but it compliments the Zeppelin very well. I may buy another so I can put them in different rooms of the house. I'll let you know how the air play set up goes when I get home. GREAT PIECE OF ELECTRONICS!1 out of 2 found this review helpful.

Ok guys, here is what I think! The speaker is great! Sound is really nice and rich, didnt really expect that... The bad part is Air Play., its just dont wanna work,I did all set up right as it says in manual, step by step.first it worked , but then it just quit working, no sound was coming out, I got so mad at was about to bring it back.. Then I decided to reset it,and surprisingly it worked! To be honest all I wanted is to play my music and radio via iPhone... Didnt care much about Air Play anyway... So now since I did reset it, speaker never goes to sleep or dont have any sound issue. So if Air Play is really important to you, dont buy it!2 out of 2 found this review helpful.
