Boy Meets World: Pickett Fences
Fed up with their crummy campus apartment, Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) set their sights on a lovely two-bedroom house; all they need is $80,000 to fulfill their dreams! Ever the pragmatist, Shawn persuades the couple to forget about the house and to begin fixing up the place they've got--and the results surprise them both. Elsewhere, Angela (Trina McGee-Davis) and Rachel (Maitland Ward) have roommate issues, and Jack (Matthew Lawrence) and Eric (Will Friedle) wonder if they'll be able to take orders from their sexy new boss Bridget (played by Baywatch's Nicole Eggert). This episode originally aired on a Sunday, rather than the series' customary Friday-night slot. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: The Honeymoon Is Over
They've only been married two weeks, but the honeymoon is over so far as Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) are concerned. Not only have they been crowded out of the apartment that Topanga previously shared with Rachel (Maitland Ward) and Angela (Trina McGee-Davis)--and by Cory's best friend Shawn (Rider Strong) to boot!--but Cory's parents refuse to let the couple live in the Matthews home even on a temporary basis. Finally, the couple is reduced to living in a squalid campus apartment, replete with bedbugs and rotting walls. It's a rough situation, but it turns out to be valuable "real world" lesson for our hero and heroine. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: Family Trees
Shawn (Rider Strong) is down in the dumps after receiving a letter from his mom Virna, informing him that she isn't his real birth mother. It takes a ghostly visitation from Shawn's dad Chet (Blake Clark) to help him get his act back together...with a little help from his friends, especially Cory (Ben Savage). Elsewhere, Eric (Will Friedle) comes up with some bizarre diversionary tactics while planning a surprise birthday party for his dad Alan (William Russ). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: For Love and Apartments
It's "splitsville" for Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel), and likewise for Shawn (Rider Strong) and Angela (Trina McGee-Davis). The question: who is going to keep the apartment shared by both couples? The answer: A winner-take-all wrestling match between the boys and the girls. And just to keep the whole thing honest (if not credible), professional wrestler Mankind (playing himself) acts as referee--after breaking down the door of the apartment! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: Angela's Men
Julius Carry guests as Angela's military-man dad Sgt. Moore. The arrival of her father forces Angela (Trina McGee-Davis) to confront the real reason that she does not want to get back together with Shawn (Rider Strong)--and it has something to do with "like mother, like daughter." Meanwhile, Shawn attempts to prove that he's worthy of Angela by going through boot camp; and Cory (Ben Savage)--remember him?--is still endeavoring to patch things up with Topanga (Danielle Fishel), even as Eric (Will Friedle) plots vengeance against the girl for humiliating him in the previous episode's wrestling match. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: What A Drag!
Shades of Some Like It Hot! To avoid getting pummelled by campus bully Luther (Andrew Levitas) and his stooges, Eric (Will Friedle) and Jack (Matthew Lawrence) disguise themselves as women, rechristening themselves "Shante" and "Lala." The plot thickens when Luther takes a liking to "Lala" and begins hitting on her--er--him. Elsewhere, Topanga (Danielle Fishel) is appalled when Cory (Ben Savage) redecorates their apartment, using nothing but several cans of bright yellow paint. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: You Light Up My Union
The already shaky friendship between Eric (Will Friedle) and Jack (Matthew Lawrence) is further damaged when the boys become managers of the Pennbrook Student Union. The main problem is that good-hearted Eric has a bad habit of giving away the Union's profits whenever he hears a sob story--something that the coldly businesslike Jack can neither understand nor tolerate (at least until episode's end!) Elsewhere, Rachel (Maitland Ward) metes out retribution when she finds out that Cory (Ben Savage) and Shawn (Rider Strong) have been sneaking peeks at her diary. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: They're Killing Us
It is very possible that the much-anticipated and long-delayed wedding of Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) will never take place. For one thing, bridesmaids Rachel (Maitland Ward), Angela (Trina McGee-Davis) and Morgan (Lindsay Ridgeway) despise the garish "Scarlett O'Hara" gowns that Topanga has chosen for the ceremony. For another, Cory (Ben Savage) can't choose between Eric (Will Friedle) and Shawn (Rider Strong) as his best man, fearing that both of them will do something incredibly stupid. Meanwhile, Alan (William Russ) and Amy (Betsy Randle) shave off some wedding expenses by asking Mr. Feeny (William Daniels) and his jazz ensemble to provide the music. Meagen Fay (Malcolm in the Middle) does an amusing turn as a professional wedding planner. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: It's About Time
Just when it seems that nothing else could go wrong with the preparations for the marriage of Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel), Best Man Eric (Will Friedle) throws another spanner in the works by changing the locale of the wedding from the Matthews home to the very expensive Philadelphia Victorian Hotel--"borrowing" someone else's catered ceremony in the process, and forgetting to pick up the rings to boot! And why didn't Cory choose Shawn (Rider Strong) as Best Man instead? Well, he did--but Shawn had angrily refused to show up at the wedding after a particularly nasty argument with the bridegroom. Series regular Will Friedle plays a dual role in this Very Special episode. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: The Honeymooners
At long last, Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) are husband and wife. While enjoying their honeymoon in Hawaii, the newlyweds are enchanted with their tropical surroundings, so much so that they decide to never, ever return to Philadelphia. Meanwhile, Eric (Will Friedle), who has surreptitiously tagged along with the honeymooners, does all sorts of things to help them enjoy their stay in the islands--all the while managing to keep his presence a secret from them! Naturally, it falls to Eric to subtly persuade the couple to return home...but it isn't easy. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: Show Me the Love
Boy Meets World launches its seventh and final season by picking up where Season Six left off, as Topanga (Danielle Fishel) decides to call off her marriage to Cory (Ben Savage) because of her parents' impending divorce. Inasmuch as Topanga's decision also affects the relationship between Shawn (Rider Strong) and Angela (Trina McGee-Davis), Shawn agrees to accompany Cory to Pittsburgh in a last-ditch effort to bring Topanga's mom and dad back together. Elsewhere, Eric (Will Friedle) surprises one and all with his "new look"; and Morgan (Lindsay Ridgeway) prepares for her first date with a guy named Dominick (Jacob Chase). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: No Such Thing as a Sure Thing
Armed with "insider" information--mainly, that Pennbrook College's star football player Jerry Mungo (Grant Garrison) may lose his eligibility because of terrible grades--Jack (Matthew Lawrence) places what sounds like very small bet on Pennbrook's rival amish. Eric (Will Friedle) matches Jack's bet, little realizing that he has wagered a thousand dollars! Meanwhile, Topanga (Danielle Fishel) has a heart-to-heart with her divorcing parents, which helps change her mind about her future with Cory (Ben Savage). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: I'm Gonna Be Like You, Dad
While taking a magazine health quiz to determine how long she and Cory (Ben Savage) are expected to live, Topanga (Danielle Fishel) is distressed to discover that, if the results are accurate, Cory is already dead and buried! Her anxiety is compounded when Cory pays a visit to a doctor, who actually does find something wrong. Meanwhile, Eric (Will Friedle) joins the family business, and does surprisingly well, at least so far as Alan (William Russ) is concerned. This results in a fit of anger from Amy (Betsy Randle), who is miffed that Alan should be surprised by his son's success. This episode marks the final appearance of veteran character actor Ralph Manza, who died on January 31, 2000. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: The War
In the first episode of a two-part story (originally shown in tandem with Part Two, "Seven the Hard Way"), Shawn (Rider Strong) sparks a full-out "war of pranks" when he takes Rachel's parking spot. The battlefield is divided into two camps, with Shawn, Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) versus Rachel (Maitland Ward), Angela (Trina McGee-Davis) and Jack (Matthew Lawrence). Declaring himself "neutral", Eric (Will Friedle) functions as a spy and go-between. Weapons of mass destruction include super-glue, honey, and embarrassing photographs. Of course, it's all in fun--until one of the participants goes the inevitable One Step Too Far. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: Brave New World, Part 2
In the conclusion of Boy Meets World's two-part series finale (originally telecast as a single hour-long episode), Cory (Ben Savage) has decided to move to New York with Topanga (Danielle Fishel) after all, while Jack (Matthew Lawrence) and Shawn (Rider Strong) surprise one and all when they opt to join the Peace Corps. But before everyone makes their individual farewells, the cast assembles in the classroom of Mr. Feeny (William Daniels), who delivers a touching valedictory: "Believe in yourselves. Dream. Try. Do Good." And then, almost to himself, "I love you all..." Excerpts from previous episodes fill out this memorable climactic episode--and as bonus, Cory finally figures out the meaning of the series' title! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: Angela's Ashes
When Angela (Trina McGee-Davis) announces her plans to go to Europe for a year, Shawn (Rider Strong) won't admit he doesn't want her to leave. Sensing Shawn's discomfort, Cory (Ben Savage) goads him into being honest with himself and with Angela--but it takes the intervention of Angela's father Sgt. Moore (Julius Carry) to resolve the situation. Meanwhile, Jack (Matthew Lawrence), Topanga (Danielle Fishel), Eric (Will Friedle) and Rachel (Maitland Ward) discuss their future after graduation...with Jack and Topanga being forced to make some major decisions. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: Brave New World, Part 1
In the first half of Boy Meets World's two-part series finale (originally telecast as a single hour-long episode), Cory (Ben Savage) has mixed feelings about relocating to New York so that Topanga (Danielle Fishel) can begin her internship at the Brown-Elliot law firm. Meanwhile, Eric (Will Friedle) persuades Shawn (Rider Strong) to come along when he moves out of Philadelphia; and Jack (Matthew Lawrence) and Rachel (Maitland Ward) intend to make the biggest move of all. Clips from earlier episodes are incorporated throughout as "flashbacks". ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: Seven the Hard Way
In conclusion of a two-part story (originally shown in tandem with Part One), the "war of pranks", pitting Cory (Ben Savage), Shawn (Rider Strong) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) against Rachel (Maitland Ward), Angela (Trina McGee-Davis) and Jack (Matthew Lawrence) has gone wildly out of control, the result being that several long-standing friendships have been destroyed. Mr. Feeny does his best to repair the damage, but it may be too late. Only after everyone gets a chilling glimpse into The Future--the year 2006--does the situation resolve itself. Without revealing any more, the point of the story is summed up in one pithy sentence: "Lose one friend, lose all friends, lose yourself." This episode was originally planned as the series finale of Boy Meets World ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: She's Having My Baby Back Ribs
Cory (Ben Savage) panics when he finds out that Topanga (Danielle Fishel) has gained weight. She is certain that it is the result of overeating, but he is convinced that she's pregnant. Once the initial shock is over, Cory decides to make the best of the situation (as he perceives it, that is!) by throwing Topanga a baby shower, replete with expensive gifts from various relatives. And on the subject of extra poundage, Eric (Will Friedle) goes on a diet. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: How Cory and Topanga Got Their Groove Back
To prove that marriage has not gotten them into a rut, Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) decide to throw a big party--and to demonstrate that they're still "rebels", they plan their bash on the same night as Pennbrook College's biggest social event. As expected, no one shows up for the Cory-Topanga party...or at least that's how it appears until Shawn (Rider Strong), Angela (Trina McGee-Davis) and Rachel (Maitland Ward) take a hand in matters (though their timing is, to put it mildly, a bit off!) Elsewhere, after a blow on the head Eric (Will Friedle) suddenly becomes telepathic--and Jack (Matthew Lawrence) fully intends to cash in on this phenomenon. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: Brotherly Shove
Nostalgia begets hostility and even physical injury when Eric (Will Friedle) and Cory (Ben Savage) argue over what to sell and what to keep at the Matthews family's garage sale. Meanwhile, half-brothers Shawn (Rider Strong) and Jack (Matthew Lawrence) try to forge a common bond, only to find that they've nothing in common. Perhaps it is about time that all four guys figure out that it's as important to be a friend as to be a brother (a message conveyed in several earlier episodes, as if any of the characters can remember that far back!) ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: The Provider
While Cory (Ben Savage) works at home as a low-paid telemarketer, wife Topanga (Danielle Fishel) lands a much more presitigious job as assistant editor at a fashion magazine. This leads to a considerable amount of friction between Topanga and Cory, who complains that by becoming the primary breadwinner, Topanga has "killed" his spirit! Meanwhile, a "lucky" penny proves to be anything but lucky when Eric (Will Friedle) gives the coin away. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
Boy Meets World: As Time Goes By
Stressed out by her job and her schoolwork, and mad because she feels that Cory (Ben Savage) isn't taking life seriously enough, Topanga (Danielle Fishel) wanders into her closet--and is abruptly sucked in via a time-continuum vortex! She emerges in a black-and-white 1940s world, unable to remember who she is or where she comes from. At this point, the episode morphs into an offbeat joint parody of The Maltese Falcon and Casablanca, with all of the familiar Boy Meets World characters showing up with alternate identities at the exotic Shangri-La Café. Not unexpectedly, Topanga learns a valuable life lesson--but she has to get murdered to do so! ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
