Great Printer

Posted by: from Bronx, NY on 05/07/2012I've had the Brother MFC-440CN since 2006 and it still works great, but I wanted a wireless printer. After thorough research, I've decided to purchase this printer and I'm glad I did. It was very easy to set up and I love the fact that I can print directly from my phone. I also like the nice, sleek, design and the web integration. The duplex printing works great and I love the ink-save mode feature. I haven't tried the photo printing nor the CD printing, but I'm sure it works fine. This printer has everything I was looking for in a printer and I am very content with my purchase!!!!

Great Printer

Posted by: from St. Louis, MO on 04/30/2012The printer is great, works perfect wirelessly. The quality is top notch. The only issue we had was connecting our Mac to the printer. The newest OS-X version was not compatible. It took a few phone calls to resolve, a headache but resolved.

I love my Brother Printer
5
Posted by: from on 04/30/2012I don't really write product reviews often, but this printer deserves one. This Brother printer was and still is an awesome investment. I love it compared to the ancient Lexmark X1185 printer I had before. Even though this Brother printer took some time to set up and is noisy and bulky (great for at home/in office use, but not in the dorms), I love it. I bought it for the great price, the 4-in-1 features, the rave reviews, all these super cool and techy features, and the sleek look. And believe me the features do work and they work well. I fell in love with the following: ease of use, clean layout, LED interface, AirPrint, Wireless Printing, the scanner tray (which makes everything so much easier and more efficient; I don't have to load the paper into the scanner glass EVERYtime), the paper tray, the SD card and USB slots.

Good for Black and White Printing
4
Posted by: from on 04/25/2012I use this printer mostly to print school documents, the black and white printing quality is very good and the printer doesnt use too much ink. The color prints are a bit dull. I did have some trouble setting it up with windows seven. I had to go on the brother website to download the drives and install them as "account manager". Overall I think this printer is a good value for black and white printing but the color printing is pretty dull.

Overall, a great printer

Posted by: from Green Bay on 04/25/2012I purchased this printer about 3 months ago now. I bought this printer for it's duplexing capabilities, WIFI connectivity and to a lesser degree, speed. It has not jammed yet and works extremely well. The print quality is very good. However, I have not done any photo printing yet. The print speed is excellent for our home use. It was relatively easy to setup. This is my first printer where it's a network printer that doesn't need to be USB attached. I can print from anywhere in the house while using one of my laptops. Works great. I would definitely buy another Brothers printer assuming this one holds up. I am very happy with it thus far.

LOVE this printer!

Posted by: from South Bend, IN on 04/24/2012After dealing with HP Printers for years, I finally got tired of spending large amounts of money on ink and then having the printer malfunction and suck up any ink I purchased by doing alignments. I decided to give Brother's Printer a try. I have to say that I absolutely LOVE this printer. It is quiet and wireless, I love being able to print from my iPhone and my daughters even print from their iPod touches. The quality is decent and fine for what I'm using it for. What I love most about this printer is that I was able to find black and colored ink through amazon for dirt cheap.....$12 for TWELVE CARTRIDGES. No, not a typo. Total of $12. Now these cartridges may be smaller then what is available in stores, I'm not sure. But I have not gone through many cartridges and I print in color all the time. I used to have to pick and choose what I would print in color with my HP, but not with this printer, I love using my color printer for what I purchased it for, to print in color. The fax works great, feeder does not jam. This printer was well worth the small amount it cost to purchase it and I will always purchase Brother's Printers in the future.
