Bought this movie to see the legendary car chase which was actually done by the actors themselves . The car chase was as real as it can get . Highly recommended !

For any Steve Mcqueen fans out there, "Bullitt" is a must have. Steve McQueen plays Lt. Frank Bullitt, a no-nonsense detective for the San Francisco PD that gets caught in the crosshairs between the Chicago mob and a city commissioner when he is tasked to provide protection for a witness. Shot on location in Frisco, "Bullitt" features authentic characters, locations, cop procedures and one of the most thrilling car chases ever filmed. The movie score, done by Lalo Shifrin, fits the mood perfectly. I owned this way back in the day on VHS, seeing this mastered on Blu Ray is just awesome. For the price on this website, it would be dumb not to buy this.

This is, without a doubt, the best Steve McQueen film around. The movie is a slow paced affair, but then it suddenly explodes with its fantastic and iconic car chase and ends on an action packed note. The movie also features McQueen at his coolest and his performance is worth a watch all by itself. It’s still a classic!

This is the quintessential Steve McQueen film. Stylish, overflowing with cool and brilliantly directed by Peter Yates. Everyone talks about the incredible car chase but there is a lot more in this film to appreciate. Crackling dialogue, detailed police procedure and wonderful little moments make the convoluted plot work wonderfully.
