Posted by: snipes23617 from on 07/21/2011i bought this blow dryer for myself last december, & i have had no problems with it. the previous reviews of burnouts, of course that's going to happen if you use a small appliance such as this one EVERY DAY. i have no problems with mine & i store it properly as you are supposed to. & to ship the damaged item back to farouk for REPLACEMENT (not get a refurbished one or have your damaged one repaired) is a minimal fee of less than $10. cool shot mechanism works on it, & hot air starts blowing out as soon as i turn on the dryer. if you love chi products & want a quality blow dryer, this is a must have.

Terrible Disappointment

Posted by: Morgain from Lexington on 06/23/2011I purchased this dryer because I adore my CHI flat iron and a friend raved about her CHI dryer. After three months the dryer will not switch on regardless of my attempts to reset and cool the dryer down. It cost far too much money to be so disappointing. I've read other reviews after the fact and wish I had read them beforehand. This is consistently the worst, most expensive dryer on the market.

Faulty Product, Terrible Customer Svc

Posted by: gsl71 from Charlotte, nc on 04/27/2011I purchased this hair dryer and started noticing problems within 4 months - it took about 30 seconds for hot air to come out every time that I turned it on. Within 6 months the dryer only shot out cool air. I contacted customer service since the product is under a mfr warranty. Not only did I have to pay a hefty shipping charge to ship the product back to them, but had to pay an additional fee for the repair of the product, as well as cover their charges to ship a replacement. After spending $100 on what I deemed to be a "professional" grade hair dryer, it broke within a few months, and it ended up costing me over a third of what I paid for it to get it replaced.
