It wouldn't stay hot so it took much longer to straighten my hair, and it didn't glide so smoothly like this one does. The Chi stays hot the entire time I'm using it, I don't have to slow down or stop if I don't want to, and it glides through my hair perfectly. I would recommend it to anyone!

Over time, my hair thinned out so the big blades were pretty much useless. At the time I didn't have the money to spend close $200 (yes that's how much they Used to be), so I bought a cheaper one from Sally's and it never amounted to what a Chi can do for your hair. I finally went back to a Chi (love the color), and people immediately noticed the difference; I've had it two weeks and I constantly get compliments on my hair. It gives you a pretty, controlled look all over. It's hard to miss spots/strands with this one, and with the other straightener I still had frizz. Lastly, a Chi will add shine.
