Call of Duty: Black Ops II - Nintendo Wii U (7 out of 7)
Better than on PS3
5
Posted by: from Pennsylvania on 05/01/2013I own black ops and modern warfare 3 on ps3 and recently purchased black ops 2 on the Wii U. I enjoy playing the Wii U version much better than the PS3 due to the off-tv multiplayer capability. The only problem is the online community is much smaller than on the PS3.

Best Shooter on the WiiU right now!

Posted by: from Little Rock, AR on 04/13/2013This is the definitive FPS experience on WiiU. Off-TV play is amazing and allows you to play the game wherever you want around the house. It has all the features of the other BO2 versions except DLC support is currently missing. I would advise you to change your controls in the options if you are used to the other versions of the game.

Great game with execellent Wii U features

Posted by: from Corpus Christi, TX on 03/09/2013This is a great port with some really useful Wii U exclusive features. If you are like me with a spouse who does not really enjoy video games or small children who shouldn't watch you play mature games off-screen play is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone with a Wii U.

Great intro game for the Wii U
5
Posted by: from New Jersey on 03/03/2013like the title says this is a great intro game for the Wii U. The graphics and frame rate are at least as good as the xbox 360 version( which i have played) The only downer in my opinion is the story mode is short and has way too much swearing. Thankfully you can edit it. Using the game pad is cool. Also the online community is about 4-5 thousand play most of the time. However it is a new system and most hardcore gamers view NINTENDO as a kiddy system. But as time progresses and major game titles are released that will change. Yes i recommend anyone to check it out the Wii U version!

Call of Duty comes to the Wii U
4
Posted by: from Lexington, NC on 03/03/2013Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is the first Call of Duty game on a Nintendo console to have almost all the features found in the other console versions of the game (it's currently only missing Elite & DLC support). It also has one cool new feature not found any where else, gamepad support/menu access where you can use the gamepad to access menus/loadouts without pausing the game. If you have a Wii U and are a FPS fan or just looking for a good FPS with a decent online multi - player community then you can't go wrong with Wii U version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

Black Ops 2 Back In Time, or Future, Something...
5
Posted by: from Missouri, KC on 01/04/2013For awhile, when ever I played Call of Duty, it was always on the Wii. And I'll admit, even when Modern Warfare 3 came for the Wii, every new game to the system had an upgrade that was expected in the previous game. Don't believe me? World at War on Wii, fun game till people just started abusing glitches like The Conduit. Modern Warfare: Reflex, graphically an improvement and more Online game modes than World at War. Black Ops included a Mic, Co-op Zombies, and use of the Classic Controller for those who weren't into the whole motion control style. And let's not leave out Modern Warfare 3, it was pretty much what Black Ops on Wii should of been like, especially making a gamertag, that one had my most attention. And now with the Wii U out and everyone just ditching the Wii, Black Ops 2 feels like the perfect Call of Duty that Nintendo console owners have been waiting for. Hense the "feels like," as much as I would like to call it perfect, it is not. I'll explain later why. The campaign starts off a few decades away from the first Black Ops, where David Mason, son of Alex Mason, meets up with old man Frank Woods. You start playing as Alex Mason, getting that original Black Ops sense at first, even if you had it for Wii like I did. While playing, you'll get into the 2025 war, while some missions go back to the 70's. Speaking of missions, there's side missions in the Campaign. These side missions will put you on maps you would normally play in Multiplayer. And if you do them, you'll actually impact the story by making China your friend or foe. Of coarse with these being side missions you don't play as any of the main characters, it'll feel like a Multiplayer based objective than a story mission. Finally another noticeable change in the game compared to previous games, while playing the actual campaign missions, some of those missions will give you a choice altering the story. And like the side missions, what you do will impact the story you are doing, so choose wisely on what you're going to do. When it comes to shooters, there has to be Online Multiplayer. On a personal standpoint, sometimes I feel like they should of stick to the old way. But in the end it's still enjoyable. One thing I like is they brought back Boot Camp which from my knowledge was introduce on World at War. Nutshell about it, if you're really new to the game, start there to learn the basics of Online. Most of the game modes that's been introduced in the past are also back, even the wager modes. Sadly they're not wager games no more, rather it's renamed to "Party Games." If you ask why, the Cod Points introduced in Black Ops aren't used, that got replaced by "Unlock Tokens." And to end subject for the Multiplayer, guess what finally get's introduced to a Nintendo Platform finally to people who only played CoD on Wii? Killcams, no missing Streak Weapons, Emblem Maker, Downloadable Content, basically whatever you complained what was missing on the Wii versions is included on Black Ops 2 for Wii U. Let's move on to Zombies. Zombies wasn't that big on the Wii when it was introduce, mainly because it had only one map, Kino Der Toten. I'll tell ya, I wouldn't mind for a future DLC to bring back that map. But with Kino being the only map on Wii, well it got boring because you know the map by heart. Even if you played the one of the HD versions like 360 after so many times of playing it on the Wii, the only thing you'll need to figure out is the controls on the controller, everything else you'll know what to do on Kino Der Toten. But sadly, Kino isn't on Black Ops 2, but it does have 3 maps, each with 2 out of 3 game modes. One is the classic Survival mode, stay in one area, take out Zombies, rank points, find box for better weapons, ect. Grief seems a bit more competition than cooperative. Then there's TransIt, nutshell for this mode, Survival with a bus and building materials. The deal is you start at a bus station, and it treats like a normal game of Zombies, survival for many rounds of Zombies. But unlike others, you can get on a bus which can take you to the 3 maps and other places that's only given in TranzIt mode. Another thing, keep an eye out for parts lying around, they're not easy to point out, in fact they're kind of like those film reels from Kino. But these parts you can construct something useful in the game, like a generator to open doors or activate Perk-A-Cola machines. It's a nice twist for the game and one I really enjoy playing. Oh and remember Richtofen, that crazy German from previous games? He's now in control of the Zombies, and you'll hear his voice when you grab power ups. The game is enjoyable, and you have many options in playing the game. You can use any controller introduce on Wii Titles (Wii Remote + Nun-Chuck and Classic Controller) or you can use the new equipment (Game Pad and Controller Pro) to play this game. The one thing I wished that was usable in Black Ops 2 was the PDP Headbanger. It could of worked out, the Wii U has 4 USB ports, the game supports voice chat, but it doesn't support the Headbanger and I find that the most disappointment in the game. As of now the only way to voice chat is to buy a pair of headphones that includes a mic. Which might be what I'll be buying next because this game is best to play while communicating with other players, especially in Zombies. Other than that one flaw, this game is fun to play, for a CoD game. You might be playing more online than offline, but either way, this is one game I'm keeping.
