Memory Cards

Help Me Choose

This information will help you find the perfect memory card for capturing, transferring and sharing your memories.

When choosing a memory card, keep in mind that size and speed are the most important features to look for.

Memory card size (capacity) is the amount of data that can be stored, and is measured in MB (megabytes) or GB (gigabytes); the larger the capacity, the more storage room is on the card.

Many people don't realize that memory card speed is very important to ensure proper photo or video capture. Memory card speed affects shot-to-shot lag and how quickly you can transfer files to a computer.

Size

The more gigabytes your card has, the more photos, music and videos it can store.

Photo Speed

The higher a card's write speed (MB/sec), the more images you can capture in a burst.
