Good, Cheap Radar Detector

It is very easy to use, and picks up most highway signals about 2-4 miles ahead of time. On rare occasion, it will get a false alarm, but it makes sure that you are paying attention. Sometimes you run into a cop and it doesn't do anything, but it's common sense that not every cop has their radar on.
I am more of an Escort and Whistler person, but this Cobra is great, especially considering the price. If you are looking for a starter radar detector, or another one for your second vehicle, I would highly recommend this.

Yes, like many others it likes to send false alarms when you pass a herd of truckers or few grocery/ walgreens stores, but it still sent me at least 1-2 mile heads up on radars. Love it.

I don't think it's possible that every cop car I came in contact with for the past 5 months didn't have their radar on.

Posted by: Rangerj84 from Columbus, Ga on 09/25/2012I have a 14 Band Cobra Radar detector purchased from bestbuy 2 years ago that works great, picks up a signal over 2 miles in distance.
Purchased this one for another vehicle as it offered the same features at the same price and have been disappointed since purchase. I was sitting in front of a cop who had someone pulled over and it took the radar detector 1-2 minutes to realize he was 10 feet from it.
I will be returning it today.
