Posted by: Wolffang909 from VA on 02/19/2013I bought this psu to replace the cruddy 250w one in my brother's computer so he'd be ready for a new graphics card. Fits like a glove inside his case and got it working in 5 minutes!

Posted by: Forgiven from SoCal on 02/08/2013I'm pretty novice at upgrading computers. I recently wanted to make some slight upgrades to my desktop. I needed to upgrade the power supply. This one was affordable. It installed quickly and easily. And it's running smooth so far.

Enough power at the price

Posted by: miloelfnic from Kingsport, TN on 02/08/2013I bought this PS to replace a 7 yr old PS that was really great. (TT) Even with everything I had to connect it to, the process did not take overly long and it had sufficient connecters to get the job done. It started as expected and runs cool and quiet despite the load caused by the games I run. I am real happy with this product.

Solid Power Supply

Posted by: kngschld from Buena Park, Ca on 01/25/2013I have replaced memory, video cards, cd/dvd players, but I have never replaced a power supply. I have a HP, and they LOVE to ship their computers with under powered power supplies, mine only had 250 W (what a joke). I was nervous about replacing something that I feared would blow up my computer if I hooked it up wrong, but it is impossible to do so. The correct leads can only plug into each device because of the different size and shape of each plug. So, if you want to upgrade your machine, have no fear!

Does the job!

Posted by: bassirelli from Asheville, NC on 11/20/2012Decent power supply, decent price. It's not silent, but the fan isn't loud enough to be objectionable. Swapped old unit out in about 15 minutes from the time I was opening the case till I had screwed it back together. It'll probably outlive my motherboard!

Great power supply for a low price

Posted by: chris674 from Chicago, IL on 09/19/2012The power supply is great for novice or average gamers. I bought this PSU along with an ASUS GeForce 550ti card. The operation is very quiet. (the same as my old PSU that came with the PC) It remains relatively cool and has 1 large fan INSIDE of the case, there is a hole mesh on the rear of the PSU. EXCELLENT value for the money! Installation was easy, provides all the power my components need.
My PC Specs:
CPU: Intel Pentium E6600 Wolfdale 3.06GHz Dual Core
RAM: 4.0GB DDR2
GPU: ASUS NVIDIA GeForce 550ti 1GB GDDR5 Dedicated Graphics
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
HDD: 250GB SATA HDD

Simple and quiet

Posted by: bueller555 from Honolulu, HI on 08/22/2012A pretty basic power supply that gives older or unpowered systems a slight boost at little cost. Not silent, but it is quieter than my old unit. My system was stuttering because of a second drive that I added that overtaxed the OEM power supply. No problems since I upgraded the psu.

Posted by: kryptic127 from FL on 12/01/2011First, let me start off by saying I placed my order for this unit on the 28th of November. It was during "Cyber Monday" and there was a deal on a graphics card which I have needed since my other one broke a few months ago. Since this new GPU required a 500w minimum power supply i had to replace my old 250w while i was at it. So i placed the order for this at the same time. My estimated delivery date was between the 6-13 of the following month. Not bad, but i figured it might take a little longer considering it's close to Christmas. So i wasn't worried. Well to my surprise , three days later on the 1st of Dec, a full 5 days before the minimum expected delivery, my product had already arrived. Job well done Best Buy. It took me about as long to open the box it was shipped in, as it did to install into my computer. It is nicely ventilated both the back, where the AC cable plugs in and the side where the fan is. Which brings me to the fan its self, it's whisper quiet, almost unnoticeable. There are more then enough power supply cables. I have 2 hard drives for a total of 1.5 terabytes both connected. One GPU, one optical drive, the motherboard and the processor fan all connected and there are still a good amount of connections left. All in all an outstanding product.
My only gripe isn't even related to the product. but Best Buys tracking system regarding shipments. I ordered two separate products at the same time as i stated and according to Best Buy this was still in their warehouse when i was holding it in my hand. I was supposed to receive an email when it was being shipped. My only problem with this is i could have missed my delivery. So now i have no idea of when my other product, which was supposed to arrive sooner then this one, will even arrive because they haven't sent me the tracking number.
