this gizmo works great!; for almost four years I had to get up to change the channel or turn the volume up, so after a while I pretty much just watched one channel for hours at a time... now I can see what is on ALL of the channels and pick out new programs without even getting off the couch ... helpful for adjusting the volume up or down too!0 out of 1 found this review helpful.

I purchased this item because i have a tv mounted on my bedroom wall and wanted a smooth look so i decided to have my reciever hidden in the closet behind the tv. Although I couldnt have it properly installed by directv by the time I wrote this review I have delt with one before and they are definitly worth the money. Also make sure your reciever is the right model because some of directv's reciever will not work with this item.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.

When I first got my Direct service I had trouble using the remote at night and would have to wait for the channels to brighten to operate the remote. Then I saw this remote and figured I'd try it out. It really is a big help being that I have trouble remembering where certain buttons are located.
