Posted by: from Hickory, SC on 05/03/2013I was looking around for a gaming laptop for a week or so, and here came the two days offer of the Dell - Inspiron 17.3" Laptop - 8GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive - Black. I was elated and ecstatic. Immediately called Dell and see if they could match the BestBuy price, but they couldn't. So guess what? I order it... And as far as it concerns me, it was the best thing that could happened to me this week. My search was over.

Posted by: from atlanta,Ga on 04/28/2013I bought it recently to work on new advanced technologies like Hadoop or Big Data where a high end configuration is the first requirement. I am very happy with the performance. It is really worth of money. It also has some hidden advantage like Blue Ray player one month Antivirus, great sound quality with Candy multiple speaker system, etc.

Hard drive was bad and the last item.

Posted by: from Fairfield, CA on 04/19/2013I was so disappointed that after loading my wireless, printer checking the internet and loading my Office 2010 that the computer came up with needing an operating system. This was an open box item and the last one in any store near my area so it could not be replaced. The hard drive was defective and as a result they had to take the laptop back. I ended up with a 17" Toshiba and love it.

Posted by: from Kansas on 03/16/2013I was looking for a laptop to replace my older Dell Studio 17, as I do play some games I was looking for the best bang for my buck ...and I found it with this one priced under 900 and very , very powerful it has run everything I have asked it to do with great speed , the graphics are amazing.... so if you don't want to spend over a 1000 and get a great laptop this is the one.... just be ready for windows 8...

Could not type. Took it back to Best buy where thay had to ORDER another one. THAT took a week. Also, no one told us we had to BUY microsoft Office...there is NO word in Windows 8.

      works ok but not great

Posted by: from Jamestown, NC on 02/01/2013Windows 8 is not easy to use, things that were easy to do with the windows 7 are harder to accomplish. It seems like it is set up for a touch screen but it is not a touch screen. Also this has the corei7 and 8GB memory but is slower to function than my 3 year computer was. it runs hot and outlook and excel often lock-up requiring a re-start. I cannot seem to get Skype to function correctly and other programs that I want to have show up in the task bar there seems to be no way to do this. Overall a very disappointing purchase.
