    Posted by: from California on 02/22/2013While I've only had this amp for a short time I've enjoyed it greatly. It was easy to set up with the included, step-by-step instructions. The speaker set-up was also easy to follow and the results very satisfactory, in fact the sub-woofer I've had for a number of years is finally working properly. The only thing I found disappointing is that the second audio output requires a dedicated amplifier, I'm still looking for one.

    A great product at a reasonable price

I don't have a surround sound system but a high end set of stereo speakers with a powered sub woofer .This Amp makes the system sound awesome. An excellent at the price point.

    Posted by: from on 12/16/2012The Denon receiver would not connect with my Panasonic Viera I had to exchange it for the Yamaha RX-V473(WHICH FIRED RIGHT UP!). I think the Denon had potential but it was an extremely hassle for me!!!

    Audyssey MultEQ XT worth it

The 1713 does a better job measuring my listening room dimensions and bringing out the dialogue. The front speakers aren't drowned out by the rears anymore. Like most, I have no need for more than a 5.1 setup, the added cost and complexity of 7.1 isn't worth it. This receiver was a good match with my Polk TL 1900 speakers. Recommended.

The receiver had the correct number of inputs that I needed for all of my old school consoles and plethora of HDMI inputs. My only knock on the receiver is the GUI feels very dated but once everything is set up you really never see it again.

    Posted by: from Philadelphia on 07/28/2012I bought this to start a system with my LED TV. i paired this with a few energy bookshelf speakers and an energy sub. the sound is AMAZING! i love all of the features but i havent used them all yet. i absolutely love having all of the HDMI connections it made setup extremely easy and i had no idea what i was doing. i have not connected it to the internet yet but plan to. i love the iPhone/iPad USB connector at the front. the remote is user friendly and a breeze to use. so far it has delivered on my expectations i just wish it had been cheaper but functionally it works great.
