    Posted by: from Florida on 03/22/2013Bought it to replace my AVR 3312 but use my 3312 to re replace it in one week. ok it has a lot of features, 7 hdmi's , hd radio, spotify etc. but the main reason you buya receiver is for the sound quality and this on is down on it

    Posted by: from California on 01/25/2013This receiver is awesome. It has a ton of features and terrific sound quality to boot. We have 5 Bowers + Wilkins speakers (5 channel) + 2 5,000 Watt sub woofers (for which preamp audio is required). The Denon receiver can handle of these speakers. It also supports apple's airplay which is great. Most of all, the unit is easy to operate - controls are quite intuitive - and it has the capacity to handle our audio + hdmi + other needs.

This receiver will do about anything you can think of. I think the best update that Denon did was the programing, it became so much easier than some of the previous models. I had an AVR3806 before, and this new one's set up was so much quicker and easier. Thanks Denon!

    Great audiophile and home Theater reciever

    Posted by: from Gainesville, GA on 12/19/2012A great looking reciever. Replaced my Denon 889 which i still use in the pool room. The 3313 has all of the conectivity you will ever need. It's sound is awesome, especially after using the Pro Audessy set up kit. I use mine in the theater room projecting unto a 120" diagonial screen, using its 7.2 setup. I have it connected to my pool room via the AVR 889 (using 5.1 setup) on a 60" sharpe quattron. Pictures and sound is amazing. The base makes you feel immersed in the action. I can use my smart phone to controll most all settings and switching video from Blu Ray in theater room to Live TV in pool room. The reciever is just plain awesome. You will not regret buying it, but do remember, its not a plug and play device. It takes time to set it up correctly and to utilize the different zones. Once accomplished you will be the envy of all your friends.

    New out of box and didn't work

    Posted by: from San Antonio, TX on 10/12/2012I just brought home an AVR-3313 last night and had problems right from the start. My reciever video output was dead right from the start and all setup/configuration goes thru the TV monitor. The reason I have this unit is to replace an AVR-3311 that also had video problems. After 1 yr. and 3 mo's, my screen was flickering and had dots running thru it. So after calling my Black Tie 4yr. protection program, I was advised to take this to the store for repair or replacement. There is where reality set in with regards to what the term replacement means. Needless to say, I had a significant investment outlay to get the replacement because when I bought my AVR-3311 it was on sale and the new AVR-3313's just came out and are at full price. Pretty simple to understand Best Buy's perspective on this. One word of caution is to make sure to read the coverage language in detail and not listen to the sweet sales deal that you think your getting. I got exactly what was in the fine print (so no complaint there# but what I didn't get was what the sales person sold me. Now, back to the product. My previous AVR-3311 was great while it worked. Sound, setup, on line upgrades all worked as advertised. I even upgraded it with the $50 airplay patch and it worked well. The AVR-3313 has all those same features plus a few upgrades. This is mainly why I selected this unit. The sad truth is that I'm very sceptical about the quality of the product line. If I count this unit, I've had a total of 5 Denon products of which 3 have had problems #2 AVR receivers and 1 DVD player). I'm an audiophile and only use this receiver for it's pre-out capability to connect to other high end products in one home theater room. I'm batting less than .500 with the Denon products. I will not slam them because I like the product when it works, however it is deeply frustrating to deal with the frequency of issues.
