extremely underrated CD
Van Halen is at their best when they show their true passion for hard rock. On "A Different Kind of Truth", Eddie Van Halen writes a collection of songs which rival "Van Halen 1", "Women and Children First" and "Fair Warning". While David Lee Roth's vocals are not nearly as strong as they used to be, Roth can still write creative and clever lyrics and sign them in his signature style. Add Alex Van Halen's thunderous drumming and you have Van Halen firing on all cylinders.
"A Different Kind of Truth" is one of Van Halen's best albums.

It's not bad music, nor is it vintage VH songs
First, I enjoy the music alright (it's decent), but I'm passionate about older Van Halen music and the great songwriting from the past, and I don't hear that kind of songwriting here on this album. If you really enjoy Van Halen's music, it may be worth a try to see how you like it.

A bit disappointed.
Hoping for VAN HALEN, just not there. You could tell by their sound, something wasn't clicking. Not getting along even in studio.
