Posted by: Anon1234 from on 04/06/2013I bought this for a trip to the UK. When I got to the hotel the plug for the UK did not even fit into the wall socket. If you are going to England or Ireland you need an adapter with 3 prongs. This only has two. I don't know if it works anywhere else in the world, but definitely not in the UK.

Still on my trip to London and on the first day both my alarm clock and laptop got fried. It worked fine to re-charge my camera but definitely was not good for my other electronics. Not much option were available if looking for both adapter and converter. Borrowed a computer to make this comment

After reading some of the bad reviews on how things blew up, I can only guess that they may have purchased the adapter only that is made by the same company and looks almost the same. The adapter version does not have a power converter built in like this item does, so be careful.

It was plugged in all the time after just day one because my older sister bought a less expensive one from a major department store and it burned out after about three minutes. It actually popped!
Definitely worth the money!
Had to make sure to get home with it cause everyone wanted to take it home.

I plugged the device in at a hotel and it IMMEDIATELY surged. I checked the instructions to make sure that I was using it properly, and to my dismay, found that the device simply DOES NOT WORK. Please do not purchase it. I expect to return it as soon as I get home.

I bought this for my wife to use her flat iron while we went to europe. We went to Paris and when she plugged her flat iron in it burned out right away. This thing is junk and now I need to buy a new $200 flat iron.
