Everything works except wall mounting screws2

Everything about this kit impressed me in a good way except for one thing - the wall mounting screws tear apart when you try to screw them in. I now have two screws stuck partway in my wall. One because the head of the screw simply tore apart as I was screwing it in and now the screwdriver has nothing to grab onto. That screw is sticking out about 1/4" from my wall. The second screw in the same plate ripped apart, breaking just below the head, so now I have a broken screw thread stuck in my wall. These screws seem to be made from a metal that is significantly softer than it should be. I'm off to the hardware store to buy some higher quality screws so I can actually complete the job. I'm hand-turning the screws into the wood studs behind the wall, per the instructions, and I drilled pilot holes to the entire depth of the screw length. Surprised and disappointed. So I rate this as two stars. If the mounting screws were of sufficient quality to stay together I would rate this 4-5 stars.0 out of 1 found this review helpful.

I mounted Klipsch Quintets with them. Had to use two for the center channel.. Also had to buy longer 1/4 20 bolts from hardware store to get them to work with the Klipsch.. The bolts supplied were not long enough to anchor into the back of the speaker.. They did work and was reasonable in price.. They are also easy to angle the speakers to where you needed them..1 out of 1 found this review helpful.

Decent for the price4

Upgraded the surround sound speakers in my LR and needed to mount the speakers on the wall. Best Buy had these for somewhere around $35 and bought them. They were easy to install and my speakers were very easy to connect to the mounting brackets. When installed, they have nice covers over the area where the screws go through the bracket and into the wall so they look really nice and high-end when completed. The only negative would be that I wanted to mount the brackets so I could direct the speakers left and right in order to aim them at my sofa. The brackets have small set screws that you use to position the rotation of the bracket. It was a bit tough to get them tight enough so that the speakers wouldn't sag or rotate.0 out of 0 found this review helpful.
