After buying 6 adapters for my husbands last min business trip, looking for anything that would work with no time to have one shipped. Most adapters do not work on american grounded plugs and are not for use on anything bigger then a curling iron. This adapter i found online, they did not have it on the shelf at the store. I checked, but they have it in the back for in store pick up. As for the bad ratings on this adapter, a two min Google search will tell you that the United Kingdom (where London is) and Ireland use a different kind of plug then the rest of Europe. I give it a A+++++++2 out of 2 found this review helpful.

I bought this for my trip to Europe, but it does not work in London. There are other ones that will work in London and other european countries and I would advise purchasing one of those1 out of 15 found this review helpful.

This is not a converter, but most power supplies (laptop power cables, cell phone chargers, etc.) will take European voltage (220V - 240V). Just check the sticker on the cord. So, you just plug your device into this adapter and then straight into the wall. It is deep enough to fit into any European outlet, so no matter what power cord you have, it will work. This item needs a better description! I bought two of these for my trip to London....they do bot work in London!!! Totally different types of outlets than what these can plug into. they were useless and best buy refuses to take them back! Where in Europe can these be used?!?5 out of 41 found this review helpful.

I purchase this item for an up coming trip to Switzerland. When i arrived there I tried to use it to plug my lap top in only to find out it would not fit in the outlet. As it turns out this adapter is not compatible with all of continental Europe. It should be labeled as such. From looking at someone elses it seems this one is good for northern Europe but not for Switzerland. I had to go to several stores until I found a compatible converter. I returned it to the store when I returned from my trip. In hind sight I should have bought the universal adapter.5 out of 9 found this review helpful.
