As a reult, the adaptor only fit into about half the outlets we encountered during our recent trip to Italy,

Useful for travel to Europe

I would encourage people to evaluate their own phone, ipod, and computer chargers ahead of time and confirm the voltage range that each one covers so you don't purchase unnecessary equipment. For many of our electronics, this adapter was all we needed (e.g. we did not need a transformer in conjunction with this adapter).

Yes this adapter works, its cheap and easy: plug it in and Hey, you've got power. I say not being universal to universal is a con because I travel all over the world, but I'm cheap and mostly go to Europe so this made sense to me. Just make sure you check your devices and make sure they don't need a voltage converter (in case you didn't know European voltage is about twice what we use in the States. Most computers are fine but double check to be safe).
