Posted by: avrnj from on 04/12/2013I bought a car that only had a CD player and cassette deck but no audio jack to connect my mp3 player or phone, so I purchased this so that I could listen to my music. It works, but I have to jack up the volume on both my mp3 player and the stereo to full in order to hear the music at about middle volume. I tested the stereo volumes with CD, radio, and even a regular cassette and they were all much, much louder. I'd say that at max volume this plays your music at best at 40% of the volume you should be able to get

Great upgrade for your old tape deck...

Complete waste of money

Posted by: jdsaengine from on 11/29/2012I bought this only a few months ago and so far I am severely disappointed. When it does play, the audio quality isn't bad. It's the fact that I have to have an ongoing battle with the cassette to get it to work. It will stop working literally every ten seconds and every once in awhile, the cassette will eject from the player all together. And I know it is not my car's cassette player because other tapes work perfectly fine. I wouldn't waste my money on this again. Now excuse me while I go take a hammer to it.

I got my license yesterday, and was looking for a quick way to listen to my iPod's playlists while driving. There was the option of a $20 FM transmitter, but you could always lose the FM signal. I would buy this in a pinch, but if you can stand to wait a little, try and get a better deal.

Posted by: PIDI from Columbia,MO on 07/05/2012Had the radio installed by Best Buy so didn't use the adapter. Return was no problem. Unless your are pretty technically inclined I wouldn't recommend self-installation. The Best Buy tech did a great job and the instll looks great.
