Posted by: woodworksphoto from Ft. Rucker, AL on 05/18/2013This is a pretty good product for what you're buying. This is no where near top of the line, but if you're looking for that I recommend an actual camera store. This is good for the novice who has a DSLR or other type of camera that will screw into the plate for the base of the tripod.
I would love for it to have come with extra plates as I have more than one camera and video camera, but they're pretty cheap if you know where to find them.
It can get wide at the base, so if you plan ahead and work with it, you can make it work. Great part is you can essentially turn it into a monopod by putting all the legs together.
It's fairly sturdy but again, I wouldn't recommend it for higher-quality lenses on your camera as it's easily tipped over. I do love the level feature- that helps ensure some level photos, but the tripod does move when you press the button. best bet if you're trying for accuracy is have your camera either on a timer or a remote control on the tripod.

Posted by: MrsDumbluck from CC TX on 05/17/2013Some photos require a tripod and I did not want to spend a lot of money for the little that I needed one. It feels sturdy, has a nice bag, an extra mount, and works very well. It is easy to set up and take down. I have only used it twice and it worked very well.

Good tripod for the price

Posted by: J100B200C300 from Mansfield, TX on 05/12/2013Functional and lightweight tripod for use with my video camera. It is a little flimsy. When fully clamped down and attached to the camera, there is still some sloppiness in the tripod that allows the camera to move if you touch it or adjust it. This tripod was part of a package deal with my new camera.

Nice Tripod

Posted by: Gyuszi from Austin, TX on 05/12/2013This tripod is easy to use and setup, and the only issue I had with it is that when you pan from side to side (left to right, right to left) it is stiff and so the video isn't smooth. I use this primarily with a video camera and that's why it's an issue for me. Up/down movement is very smooth.
